We do not do these often infact I think this is the first one we have done and its definitely the first one I have done.
Anyway lets get this show on the road...
Approximately one week from today's date ingame (I can't be bothered typing check the date on the post) m0o corp will re-enter hibernation. All members will leave and only 10 or so characters will remain to manage the corp in its mothballed state.
There are a number of reasons for this decision:
Primarily is boredom with the game and a general disbelief that Shiva will be delivered on time and with a full feature set.
Secondly there is our reputation. Although this has carried us far in the game, it is unfortunately a double edged sword. Every m0o director and most senior m0o's can attest to the constant bombardment of applications and general junk conversations we recieve on an hourly basis that quite frankly makes gameplay rather tedius at times. This and other matters have taken their tole on the top levels of m0o and lead to their withdrawl from eve. People may think that this is a joke, but I assure you it is not. Being a director/senior m0o is unlike any other corp in the game, you have to be one before you can really understand.
m0o may return, we may not, however I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank each and everyone that was ever in m0o, we were the best and most famous (infamous) corp in eve and we got to that position through the skill and dedication of our members both past and present, I know I speak for all the directors when I say it has been an honour to be in the same corp as so many great players.
Many of you will no doubt notice that some of the m0o's have joined Evolution, this is as a direct result of the recent and highly successful alliance between our corps and the mutal respect that has grown between us despite our different modus operandi.
Other members of m0o are going inactive or moving on to new or established corps, it is up to the invidiuals to decide. This closure should not be taken to mean than the game status (with regards to stuff like err QUITTING) has changed, afaik no m0o (ex-m0o) are leaving the game as a result of this. Just time for a change is all...
Anyway thats about it, if anyone has questions contact me and I might even answer them.
The second coming of m0o is closed.

Even though our two forces are currently at odds, as an unpredictable and roving band of evil, m0o have enriched EVEs universe more than any other corp and brought conflict and drama to a universe where it is up to the players to make as big an impact as possible. I think m0o showed all of us how big that crater could be.

Not surprising to be honest. I know what being a director in a large corp that is well known is like but I'm sure what I saw was about 10% of they, the m0o directors, had to deal with. It got to the point I didn't even like logging in because by the time my screen had loaded I had 3 convo requests. Take care Stavros, thanks for the introduction to PvP, which interestingly enough thanks to the old cap bug I survived and don't eat so many chocolate brownies in one sitting.

To date during my time in Eve, I have successful avoided all management positions (and will continue to do so). In Mankind, I was not so lucky (@VonSpot here).
Being in management in a major guild/corp is work. It can wear you down. I find the explination given for MOO's entering of hibernation to be very understandable.
A tip for ALL players in these games: Don't harrass your Corp management. Don't create problems for them. Whenever possible, fix your own problems. DO offer to do work for the Corp that does NOT require you to frequently commumicate with them. DO attempt to solve your own problems without bothering them. DO maintain good manners when dealing with other Corps (even ones you are shooting at). Be proactive in supporting your corp, while at the same time NOT constantly requiring management to deal with you.
Management wants to play too, not deal with 500 convos.
There is something I am doing with one of my characters right now to support the BNC war effort. I'd love to get more specific input from my Corp leadership. But I have not asked them anything. They already know in a general way what I'm doing. The further details I'd like to get are not important enough to bother them about.

make shure if u are going into hibernaton to eat alot of bark and leafs as this bungs up your digestive systym and allows u to have a slower matabilism as well as constipation.
Damm i really wanted to see a mOo war fleet.
if its ok buy the eve community ill start up an isk for food organisation for all homeless mOo till they find a new corp donations start at 1 million isk.

A big thanks to all the directors past and present for taking the strain off the CEO role for me.
A big thank you to the members for making the game fun enough to keep me around, despite the work load which I came to regard as a third job.

some memerable storys from the forums bout m0o's escapades, from pasari (cant spell), the invasion on fountain, the sale in period basis, the day m0ovolution was born and decided to attack CA.... well the list could take up alot of space.
truley sad to see a part of eve's history turn into legend for the time being....

Good luck guys. Ever since the blockade in Mara you guys have been spicing up the game. Sure a lot of people were unhappy when you camped choke points in empire but it certainly made travel interesting and kept eve entertaining despite the lack of content from CCP. You have been the people we loved to hate. We needed you so we could point our fingers and say "That's the bad guy". Well in the immortal words of Tony Montanna (Scarface). Anyway, to all the m0o members I know (sorry, I don't know a lot of the newer ones ), have a great break from m0o - I don't doubt it will be back, and meaner and stronger than ever.

Where to begin.
Well if i look back last summer, after the intial shock of ohh **** m0o are coming to get us (generaly while we were undocking out a 0.7 station 'naturaly') Then id think hell yeeah, amazing team work, grabbed the game by the *******s from the start and dominated it more then the devs could even do it about. (special 4 not included)
But then that changed, all my admiration was lost. Why?
One sunday night listening to eve radio, when mr stavos chose to layout his various past sins to the listening eve public (probaly about 120 people) Basicaly admiting him and his mates had been kicked from game to game for exploiting the crap out of them.
Since then Moo have just been Moo, nothing special in my eyes, admiration lost.
Im sure you guys have fun with them, and good on you for it.
Just my opinion.

It was nice to play around with you in EC-P8R, that was definetly on another threat level then what other corps offers.
And relogging after I've CTD, to jump with 2.3% structure was fun :)

Interesting, but not unexpected. I feel the same way about Shiva. I could really give a crap about POS, and more mining and mining planets. I think new ships ar nice, but the fact they have no new desgins just re-used designs shows lack of commitment to change on more so to fluff. Been playing for well over a year. I would say I have done it all, from Carebear, to pirate, to agent runner, production, politics, etc etc. All this time waiting for Shiva, I guess we shall see.

The time I spent with m0o was the best I've had in Eve, not trying to copy/paste everything said before but it was, atleast back in the day. After coming back playing things just haven't really been the same.
People were less relaxed, alot more uptight and the 'chill factor' was sort of gone. People were playing only to play but not to have fun, or that's atleast how I saw it.
For my part, no idea. Any suggestions?

Specifically the TLBC joining FE but wouldn't move to our region, I remember all those miner II's you gave me for free when they were still a few mill a piece, I remember you stealing my Battleship business, except I sold them cheaper. I miss those days, BUT wrong thread to talk about that crap.
Anyone should know, that in EVE if you get bored join Curse, we have corps of all creeds,colors,beliefs and ebilness.
The most important part about your story was the part about being a CEO, same with the post with Sass, you log on hear people asking for ISK, *****ing about losing a ship, wanting this and that, you have some that do stuff for the corp and some that don't do ****, some that think they do stuff for the corp, but don't do enough. Anyway good story, it made me think....

m0o, in the realm of EVE, is a household name. How can such a group ever be forgotten? m0o corp is a piece of EVE history that players today will remember. As such, its name will be passed on to every new citizen of EVE so long as those with knowledge of them continue on in EVE. But, with m0o stepping out of the picture the attitudes of future EVE citizens will be likened to ours toward points in history which we have not experienced for ourselves.
I wish all members of m0o the best and look forward to the day of its return because as it stands, what is EVE but a story we all contribute to writing? And what is a great story without a fantastic antagonist? If EVE is to be without m0o from this day forward, one chapter -an era- has come to a close, leaving us to question who will be the next great "villain" in the story. If we liken EVE to a flick, will the sequel picking up after m0o's exit, featuring some of the same protagonists, be as good with new oppositional forces? Most of us familiar with the trend of sequels are likely to conclude with a resounding, "NO."

I mean it even says "afaik no m0o (ex-m0o) are leaving the game as a result of this." Then combine this with sassinaks post and it's pretty obvious that's all they're trying to do.
However I wouldn't doubt if they finally got to the point where there was too much new m0o and it started to overwhelm the old m0o and this was a kinder way to get back to the old m0o they missed. But that's just an added benefit the main reason is above.

No mather what corporation (had some friendlies who done it too), it always gives me a bad taste in the mouth when a corporation stops because a few are bored with the game and basicly i always get the idea that the others wanted to keep playing. Then after a few months you see these guys back, saying how much they ruled in the past and how much they are going to rule again and automaticly asume the players who did not quit drop everything out of their hands and go play with the big boys again.
I have seen it happen in allied 'corporations' in other games and i have seen it happen in EVE, no mather which side (friendly or hostile) it happens at... the taste in the mouth remains the same.

Dreamworks, the decision was made to retire the name for at least a while, to go out while we're ahead. Better than having the corp slowly wilting away over a month with everyone going "m0o has gone to ****."
We may be back, maybe not, but since our leadership has gone inactive or quit, the decision was sound in my eyes. Have fun guys

I wonder if best and most famous PvP corp disbanding is a sign big enough for DEVs to see that there are serious issues with PvP in this game.
Or perhaps lack of PvP.
Or 1000ish ways to avoid PvP.

When the game is fun, the leaders don't mind the workload, because the fun far outweighs the tediousness of being a director. The game is simply at a point where ganking 20-30 battleships a day (which we've done) means almost nothing. The damage you do is insignificant compared to the amount of money people have/lose and can get. It dulls pvp to a point where the best part of killing someone's battleship is looting the can not the thrill of risk you get out of it. Hence the vets get bored.
Fighting alliances isn't very fun either, because no matter how hard you kick them down and beat them senseless you can never kill them off for good as long as there is one guy with the alliance tag.
So most veteran players got bored, and are waiting for shiva.. which imo wont live up to hype unless the devs pull a rabbit out of their anus with balance and coding. Some will go off and do their own thing, pirating, small scale skirmishes. Some will continue beating up PA in evol, some will take it easy till shiva (like me), some might go do other activities..
I'm glad m0o leadership decided to end it while it was good, and not when the corp got to a poor state. A corp can't run without leaders.. and its sad splitting up, but it was honour fighting with you guys and hope someday the carebear menace will need to be kept in check

Dammit, now I need to find another corp.
The time I've had in m0o was some of the most fun I've had while playing EVE. Unfortunantly, hurricanes have kept my broadband out for a good amount of time, so I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with my new friends as I wished. The several weeks I was able to play were awesome, and I hope if there is a m0o reunion in the future I'll be able to come back and fight once again.

The time I've had in m0o was some of the most fun I've had while playing EVE. Unfortunantly, hurricanes have kept my broadband out for a good amount of time, so I didn't get to spend nearly as much time with my new friends as I wished. For those concerned, several m0o have indeed joined EVOL, amongst them the directors TWD and Sassinak.
EVOL and m0o are very different corporations in regards to structure, EVOL being a no-personal-property corporation which is something not all m0o adhere to, the majority of m0o seems to be splitting into other corporations, (edit: some in RKK) Zombie INC is being resurrected, Rough-Necks Inc being repopulated, Death Row is recruiting, Red Corsairs might return and a couple one-man-or-more corporations are about to surface.

I would like to thank the whole EVE community for the decent spirit that has been shown in this thread. You have my respect.
But, I for one will be continuing the tradition and the type of gameplay that I have in the last 9 months with m0o and trust me there is nothing personal or malicious. It's a game.
Good luck to the guys who have joined Evol, RKK and other corps thus far. The majority of us will stick together awaiting the sleeping ebil that is m0o and will continue to terrorise the game and generally keeping people on their toes.

What i hear is the word "boredom" and again a too big pirate organisation dies. The first experiment was Forsaken Empire - died too. Only small agile pirate-groups can still have fun in EVE. Once a pirate organisation reaches the limit of maybe 30-40 members, the organisation gets a small alliance. Once they reach 100 or more the pirating times are over - too many naps and the "boredom" comes.
When i started the game all players already had battleships and first thing i wanted to do was: join m0o - the pirate corp! At that time m0o was perfectly arrogant (like pirates should be). They didnt want naps, didnt want new members, they were just killing, killing, killing...a perfect pirate corp.
So i joined biomass and later we started our own little pirate corp. Always there were political influences in the different pirate corps and always there were people that wanted to create "the big big pirate alliance". But pirating and "big big pirate alliances" will never work. Alliances are alliances and pirates are pirates - it cannot be merged...will never match!
It was a mistake to accept all these new members - especially some former carebears, even some ex-macrominers - puh! It was a mistake to nap with "normal" corps like BNC or Evol. And Zap did damage to m0o too, a lot of people lost any respect - and respect is nessesairy for a pirate corp - pirate corps need to be feared. But people started to loose respect, feared only the m0o-blob, not the single players.

What i hear is the word "boredom" and again a too big pirate organisation dies. The first experiment was Forsaken Empire - died too. Only small agile pirate-groups can still have fun in EVE. Once a pirate organisation reaches the limit of maybe 30-40 members, the organisation gets a small alliance. Once they reach 100 or more the pirating times are over - too many naps and the "boredom" comes.
When i started the game all players already had battleships and first thing i wanted to do was: join m0o - the pirate corp! At that time m0o was perfectly arrogant (like pirates should be). They didnt want naps, didnt want new members, they were just killing, killing, killing...a perfect pirate corp.
So i joined biomass and later we started our own little pirate corp. Always there were political influences in the different pirate corps and always there were people that wanted to create "the big big pirate alliance". But pirating and "big big pirate alliances" will never work. Alliances are alliances and pirates are pirates - it cannot be merged...will never match!
It was a mistake to accept all these new members - especially some former carebears, even some ex-macrominers - puh! It was a mistake to nap with "normal" corps like BNC or Evol. And Zap did damage to m0o too, a lot of people lost any respect - and respect is nessesairy for a pirate corp - pirate corps need to be feared. But people started to loose respect, feared only the m0o-blob, not the single players.

We could dry up even the richest of territories (on the example of Gehi, for one.) We had a challenge in the game, and we beat it - we were the best and most feared pirate corp in EVE. After that challenge was gone, people started to get bored, so we became a chaotic alliance-breaking force. To match the blobs, we had to recruit - we recruited creame of the crop from the territories and corporations we conquered. We became that alliance-breaking machine, and the challenge was once again gone. Which puts us in the current situation. Game doesn't any new challenges to offer, except maybe becoming the best mining corp in game and getting +10.0 corp standing with all Empires, which is pretty homo in it's nature. m0o corp is a corp that can overcome ANY challenge the game has to offer, and we did for now. There is no need for such force in EVE anymore, and there is nothing that is binding us except friendship. Will Shiva offer new challenges? Maybe, and i hope so. Then m0o will be resurrected once again to reach new heights of gameplay. If not, well, maybe m0o Corp will have to wait for Kali. Maybe other games will offer new challenges, and our band of maniacs will be roaming other worlds with similar eagerness.

Well you seeà I think that eve offers one great advantage to the ôbounty huntersö and just some one who is willing to track someone or like you saidà ôwhateverö Why would I show you my main character who will do the actual killing? You will see it in the mail you get after you are podded. You will see the face of the assassin right before you die! not a week before you die. Yes I find it necessary to say that this is an alt before ppl start yelling YOU AN ALT YOU AN ATL!!! This way I admit that yes this is an alt and donÆt try looking for it itÆll be gone in few hours. I have only talked to mOo guys on TS maybe three times but the first time I did it was on Evol ts, I remember it was you,Omniwar and DigitalCommunist were gate camping 6nj with some CoD people. Was a great time (even if I lost my scorp). mOo was the one constant in this game that regulated the growth and egos of alliances, they would come to a reigon near you and look around and wtfpwn EVERYTHING. They beat CFS to a point that they had to sell out to FA,beat CA back to frigs,molested NORAD religously (but then again it does seem whenever you guys got bored we were your favorite to pick on), I could go on and on but at the end of the day the same conclusion is met they were one of if not the best pvp corps around and one of the last true pirate corps in existance.
Stained and Riddari..........hmmmmm.......250 mil a Domi and whatever BS stained wants. I WILL OUT BID ALL COMERS.

well i have 4 alt accounts that I can use to pay it off,I have 3 bs that I can use and a few more hidden away incase I am ever left out on my own and can't get into an alliance to chain. So..........most of my stuff is in assests many people wonder way I say I can't pay them off when it comes to debts its more of a matter of honor that I don't stirp these accounts to do so. I screwed up with Luc and I should fix it by working with him to repay it. But yes I would scrap my back up plans to hire you guys. So the offer is on the table if you want more we can always discuss an appropriate price.
