Originally by: Tyrrax Thorrk That's the Khanid Amarr titan.
This is the Amarr titan: http://eve.klaki.net/screens/unhandled/amarrtitan/
it says in the story that Khanid stole that titan during the amarr sucsession rituals. in that case it must be amarr??

According to history all Titans were relatively unique ships.
During the khanid sucession the amarr empire only had 3 titans.
All titans which have been manufactured were relatively unique because none were mass manufactured. By the time a new titan was scheduled to be constructed a new design containing new technologies was already available.

remember how big a titan is. think deathstar sized or greater. its not something *anyone* should be making a lot of. personally, if i was ccp, i'd allow alliances to make theyre own designs. send in all the specs (speed, hardpoints, etc) and (preferably) a 3d model, along with some money (either real money or eve money) and then ccp will work out the mineral costs and times to make it, and put the model in the game. a titan should *not* be something that a single person, or even a single corp, should be able to own. a titan is more a status symbol than anything else to be honest.

That's the thing though isn't it? Ultimately only one person can fly it at any time. Maybe it could require Executor status.

indeed, that is the problem. and why i'm kinda undecided on whether they should be player controllable at all... how about, to be recognized as a real empire (and hence to get concord protection and stuff...) you need to have built a titan (or more, i guess), and it will basically just cruise around the centre few systems on the alliance looking cool, and maybe going to help out besieged stations? not sure how many would go for it, but i can imagine at least some would for the shear challenge of getting one :P

It looks like a giant squid. Dont get to close to a moon in one of those babys. It says it can mess with a plants gravitational field because its so big. -------------------------------------------------- Covenant US-Time Zone Director

grrrr... its not a titan and its not a dreadnought, nor are we going to see it in the game ANY time soon, as far as I know at least. This ship was canned even pre beta and pre alpha. It used to be up on the website under the ships, but then CCP took it off, I first saw it pre beta on the eve-gate website I think it was. I can really see why the ship was scratched and really dont go saying its level 3 BS or whatnot cuz this ship is prolly older than the apoc and arma, (older meaning designed first by CCP before the other 2) im sure they came up with these 2 new better designs and were just like F that.... lol
