Thx for the inventory system, now you have to switch to that ship then you can check the drone bay. Or you have to prepare enough drones for everyship to reduce the massive click.

Also the active ship floating in the docking bay doesn't have option to access Drone Bay via right click menu. Have to open Inventory first, then click on the Drone Bay listed in the Inventory Tree.
The new Inventory application is not very user friendly. |

It was so natural that everyone even newbi, who start own EvE adventure in rooki system, adapt to it after first look and touch.
Now people need study how this new turd works.
Actually I find that a LOT of newbs get lost int he differences between ship hanger, item hangar, and the ship cargo bay cause they all looked the same.
I also often get people trying to put stuff into their ship via assets.
In this regard the new system is MUCH more natural for a new player especially since they have no existing habits that you all whine about not being able to do. xD The Drake is a Lie |

Huh? Whats the issue? You do know you just click the little triangle beside the ship name in the tree and all the bays for that ship are displayed in the tree? Then just drag what you want to the proper entry in the tree, or shift click it to see whats already in there so you can add any needed extra stuff. It does not have to be an active ship. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

For me, the Inventory Window just added more mouse clicks to the game along with requiring the use of a magnifying glass to view the Inventory Tree icons.
Oh it looks all pretty and has some cool accessories but the functionality of it is definitely 2 steps backwards compared to the original system.
It was nice of CCP to replace the active ship icon back into the ship's hangar window while docked. However, it seems they forgot to include the right click option to access the Drone Bay. Still have to open Inventory first, then click on the Drone Bay listed in the Inventory Tree.
Maybe the right click option to open Drone Bay will be included with the next patch. |

You don't have to do any more with this system than you do withWindows Explorer. Under each ship it says "Drone Bay." Just trust that drag-and-drop. Wanna see inside? Is this a joke......
All you have to do is click the arrow on the left of the ship you want to look at. You do not have to switch shIPs.
If you have a cargo pod in your bay or a ship with a drone bay it will appear under the ship who's arrow you have click on.
YOU DO NOW HAVE TO SWITCH SHIPS

You just need to scroll down the new crappy ui, for about 1 hour and 32 minutes, until you reach the bottom where the drone directory is.....
If you still can't find it, run chkdsk
;-P Thanks to the new crappy ui I have more time to play other games, thank you ccp failures |

Yesss, you do have to do something different. That's open up the Inventory window FIRST and THEN click small icons to access Drone Bay and Cans. Wrecks and Cans in space require even more 'click' action.

Seems some players have low levels of reading comprehension skills.
Just exactly how is it better having to open the Inventory FIRST just to access the Drone Bay, Wreck or Cargo Container? |

You know why internet browsers do not show the site structure as a tree videw even internally it being a tree? Notice how a new separate tab is the norm? Why? BEcause tree views are HORRIBLE . That is also why their usage is every day less comoon on interafaces and its considered by most interface designers and an horrible mechanic!

I may be missing something with wrecks and cargo containers as I open those exactly the same as before even with the inventory closed. Drone bay sure, but the ops complaint wasn't about extra clicks, it was about having to have that ship active to access the drone bay, which is clearly a user issue since the UI can access drone bays on inactive ships just fine. |

If they had left in the ability to just right-click on a ship to open a bay or hold this wouldn't be an issue. Instead we now have to make with the windows scrolling on the mini-bar thing to find our ship, then open it, then access the bay. Oh, you wanted to get those drones from a different area, scroll back up and find them, shift-click it open, then go get your ship again and move them.

I hope you have a citation for that statement about interface designers. Let me ask you, how many years have you used windows xp? Your start up menu, yeah, that's a tree. Did you have trouble navigating through that?
BTW my browser, firefox, has a tree menu built right into it. Yep, right there on the firefox tab. hmm, lets go to menu-booksmarks-recent bookmarks. Maybe I'll load up my sidebar showing my bookmarks or history, why look, all of that is in tree format.
I would also like a citation for its usage being less common on programs because I can name a half dozen that have added it since their creation making it far easier to use said program. Go ahead and get those links, I'll wait. Do you smell what the Lock's cooking? |

The same applies to wrecks and cans.

Also the 'Start Up' menu is actually a pop up menu, not a miniaturized tree format. Also all of those open up in separate Windows, hence the plural usage of the word.

When I'm looting and salvaging, I like to have my ships cargo hold open in a different window separate from wreck and can windows to do selective looting / item transfers.
As it is now, I approach the wreck or can with my ships cargo hold open, click 'open' in the selected item window, my ships cargo hold window now turns into the wreck or can's hold, I then have to shift click the miniature wreck/can icon in the Inventory Tree for the wreck or can to open up in a separate window, then have to reclick and open my ships cargo hold so I can do selective looting / item transfer.
And yes I've done the drag and drop items from wreck/cans into the miniature inventory tree icons, problem is it's too much of a hassle. My eyes are getting old and it's bad enough dealing with the miniature text in the overview and on screen pop up messages. I definitely don't want to stare at some more miniature text/icons for transferring loot. It's like trying to hit the miniature 'X' and 'O' and '-' icons to close, pin or minimize the window |

You perform the same motion whether its in the drop down or on that sidebar, the only difference is the layout. I use my mouse still when I go through the options, ctrl-b is simply the shortcut to open it. And we've been going through the same motions with the market window as well for a very long time now. The inventory window is no different from that. Do you smell what the Lock's cooking? |

Well... Tracking disruptors will be affecting missiles soon, with no added counter...
so, maybe the next thing CCP will do will be to make it so that Energy Transfers can be used to supply energy to enemy drones, causing a feedback loop that will destroy said drones, with no added counter.... which would actually solve your problem, because then you wouldnt' want to use drones anymore
