Is it just me who thinks minmatar ships lack in power grid and cpu? I'm looking at the new assault ships and se that they have a lot of high slots and a lack of mid/low. If you count them (high +mid + low) you have roughly the same amount as the other ships, but what do 1 more high slot mean when you donĘt have the power grid or the cpu to use it. Minmatar ships have at there best bonus to guns and if you have a semi missile boat, then why not have a bonus on missiles?
But then itĘs maybe just me who think that minmatar ships lack cpu and power grid.

they can use a mix of lunchers and turrets. Where the turret will save CPU and the luncher would safe powergrid. _____________________________________ Dead or Alive

yes you can use missiles but then you can't use your ship bonus . I would like to se a secified task that minmatar ship can do good.

hey, i like my 'phoon trashcan...
well...if i could fit anything useful to the turretslots other than lasers that is...
supporting Siddy in this matter.
not only i wnat to USE projectile weapons....i want to SELL them!
no police, no summons, no courts of law; no proper procedure, no rules of war; no mitigating circumstance; no lawyers fees, no second chance! |

Well atm the typhoon can be a deadly and very effective sniper. Then again so can a Scorpion. What you give up in these roles is defense. Its pretty much a 80/20 offense to defense setup. Phoon comes in strong with the drone bay tho to clean up inties that get close.
4 x 1400mm, 1 Siege, 2 Cruise, 1 rocket w/ defenders
1 t2 Sensor booster, 1 Large t2 Sield booster, 2 t2 tracking computers
1 or 2 Power grid mods, 5 t2 gyrostabilizers
7 ogres and 7 wasps
You need to use phased plasma L and proton L ONLY! You can give up the Shield booster for more lock power with a 2nd t2 Sensor booster. You could always go with 4 dmods and a t2 tracking amp to get better op to go with that new found range with the 2nd t2 Sensor booster. That is a great NPC hunter setup for the phoon and keeps you using your guns and bonus. Problem is there is a strong case to be made for the phoonatank w/ megapulses. Its matter of taste imo since both can produce startling results that add up to your wallet being laced with NPC bounties or toll charges. Lets adapt to the problem and not pull our hair out because we need love. -----

Ok, lets look at this. Muninn (Ruptor clas Assault Cruiser) have Powergrid 950 max skills 1200 CPU 355 max skills 453 And you have 7 hi slots (5 of them turrets and 3 can be fitted with launchers) So my exampel is i can i fit a full rack of projectile? Lets try with 720 'Scout' powergrid 250 x5= 1250 (with 4 720¦s =1000) So you cant fit 5 of them and if you try to fit 4 you cant fit other modules. So if whe try with 650 'Scouts' they need 50 less power so 5x200 = 1000 Mw. That means that you can run 4 of them and have 400 Mw left to other modules but then you have 3 missile slots that you want to fit to the "long range" setup. But then the powergrid can take it.  So it leavs it to closse combat, but it laks in tanking abillitis. So i think that it would be better of to have 1 more low or mid slot, or make the cpu and powergrid higer so you can us all hi slots.

Heavy beam laser power 250
4 turrets = 1000 grid + medium smart bomb 200, so less then 100 left over at the end, medium armour repaier 2 anouther 175 o dear i have run out of grid as well and loads of slots still to fill....CCP plz boost the stats so i can fit the best of all equipment and weapons onto every ship.

DarkMatters! Its not that i realy think that ccp will boost power or cpu so you can fitt all the best wepons. (It would be nice if i could) The thing is, if minmatar ships (Assault ships) is given 1 more hi slot to compensate the lack of mid and low, ccp has to compensate powergrid and cpu so you can realy use it. Dont you thik so DarkMatters? If you cant realy use the +1 in hi slot is just a waste of one slot.  Thats my point.
