Kaeten, of hybrid syndicate, has lost all honor in disregarding a 1v1 fight which he requested with myself. I agreed to his terms, no scrambling, no podkills, and in a frig, and when I arrived at the location he requested I end up right in front of a Blackbird, a Tristan( Kaeten who against his terms had a scrambler ) and a Scorpion, all from Hybrid Syndicate and Members of CFS (hmm the "we must outnumber to win" factor of CFS is still there) destroyed my poor little Merlin.
I wont deny losing to them, but alas, dishonoring a 1v1 fight (when he himself asked for it) is just plain low, and makes you no better than any other griefer or ganker I've ever seen.
Edit: I have killed quite a few people, but I haven't ever gone and dishonored a 1v1 by bringing people with me.
Always hit the big red button whenever you get the chance.

It might have been just one person...but with several accounts. Wouldn't that be fair? It's still 1v1.

LOL what a stupid thing to think that. 1 vs 1 = 1 person with 1 account against 1 person with 1 account 1 person vs 1 person and his alts that wouldnt be 1 vs 1 now would it. use common sense.

tbh tho, vegeta, when a player agrees to a 1v1 that is, or should be, exactly that, a 1v1. It should be honored, when people take advantage of this being a game to gain unfair advantage, which I, my corp and everyone I fly with consider to be dishonorable, then it is exactly that.
Not that I have any sympathy, you should only accept 1v1 when you either a) trust the opponent, or b) have enough friendly's in local to make it unwise for the opponent to gank you :)

Your best bet to try to prevent this would be to form a gang with the other person, allow no others to join, then do a gang warp to a random, hard to tell location in system.

yeah, but isnt it a litte naive to assume the other person is going to follow through?
The gang thing is a pretty good idea though. No sec hits  .

Hehe yesterday Kaeten tried that with Daaken and I, of course we knew it to be the sham it is, there is no 1v1 in Eve.
So they got what they asked for and lost the Scorp Grotz was flying, granted he was launching Heavy missiles and I was taking dmg from sentrys.
I was a nice try though

Who gives a damn if anyone dishonors a 1v1 fight. Yeh ofcourse it would be cool, ofcourse I would stick to such deal, but most dont. And i cant blaim them.
