Happened to me during the qualifier. Fortunately, I barely made the jump and it recovered during the warp.

Had the shieldbug more than once that Josh describes, one cruise firmly removed 4k+ shields from my Tempest.
Had the cap-bug tonight and played around with it for a while.. It was still there after i logged. It was still there after i jumped, several jumps. It was still there after i logged, again. It was still there after i jumped again, then logged again.
This in a ship that i have been flying daily for atleast 2 weeks. Yes this time it was only a visual bug, and unless you know your ship 110% (i know i dont), it is non the less lethal. ___________________________ Chicks dig Brutor's |

I have been seeing weird things where even my 10mn AB on a frigate will drain 80% - 100% of my cap, or a sheild booster will REMOVE my shields instead of boosting them, or the display shows full cap even though I just warped, and the % readouts show 0%.
Very annoying, and has resulted in a few ship losses. --------------------------------------------------

i had the same problem on my megathron. But i found a way to fix it. In my case it helped to set the windows clock +1 min (to get it symcronised with the ingame clock). Try it out maybe it will help

I filled a bug report earlier...
But it's a graphical glitch.. real capacitor works normal. Try disabling a module in space.. fire up mwd or repairer so your cap seem to drop to 0% or something.. and try putting the module online.
Message will say you need 95% cap and your cap is 78% or something... but the GUI readout shows your cap at 0%
And your modules don't disable when your reach 0%, they just keep going. But it's annoying as hell, i find it almost impossible to play like this.. because you don't know what your cap is.

Hmmn, this seems to be a lot more widespread than I thought .... Also, last night I prod of the MWD removed all cap .... so that means the result is variable ..... even worse

as Splattercat noted, this bug only seems to affect certain systems, or is rest when you jump. I was in a system and had the problem the other night, but as soon as I jumped out, it stopped.
my mwd was using about 40-45% of available cap as well Vicarrah Tahiri Protector |

Sorry but its not true , at last not always.
When i had my mwd eat all my cap after undocking , i coudlnt activater any other module. So it wasnt graphical glitch.IT was real cap drainage.

Maybe the problem is you're watching your cap status too intently try averting your eyes when you approach warp gates.
If that dosn't work go with a full blindfold then you won't be fooled by flaky cap visuals.
Stop griping about server instability and go buy an EVE mug!
Additionally with the purchase of each mug you will receive two(2) invisible Elves.

[ 2004.10.12 09:31:03 ] (notify) shieldBoosting requires 400.0 units of charge. The capacitor has only 160.6 units.
in a tempest. my cap was at ~80% i had a large cap booster fitted, with 800 batteries. i used the batteries. nothing
