I especially like the Triumvirate strategy of not bringing any dread pilots who have names beginning with the first 1/3 of the alphabet, so that if the target callers are going a-z then R.OL die first.
Must be nice to have such good friends as this, right nync?

Quite the ironic statement considering you US timezone people are bragging about 2 Euro alliances bringing it to you on your front door in your prime time.
You can brag about killing a couple of dreads until the sun goes down but they are still having participation even in their twighlight timezone, where as LOLKIA, can only muster 3 people when it's them you are trying to save.

pretty much. the fact goons are so excited about winning with 2 to 1 odds says everything, and then some.

Numbers = Strategy Using caps in combat = Tactics
I mean, sure it takes balls to use the capfleet that TRI & Red. used knowing that goons have their capfleets nearby. But balls and tactics and strategy are different things. TRI made fun of KIA, and it was immensly one-sided. TRI can pretty much dance around KIA any day of any week, everyone knows this. Heck, I'm pretty convinced that KIA knows it as well. TRI are extremely competent PvP:ers, but they tend to make a little bit too much noise sometimes, which lead to them getting beat down. And this is bad strategy (imo), ****y as hell - but bad.
But then again, if you are TRI, how do you challenge yourself? No matter where you go - you're probably going to beat a group of similar numbers. And they are then either going to fold, or they are going to call in on friends to use numerical superiority to beat you down. It's a tough choice to live without NAP:s.
Let's face it NAP:s are a valid strategy, and it's how alliances (particularly space-holding ones) are able to hold on to their space for a longer time period. But at the same time, holding space holds impatient PvP:ers down, and looking at eg. Pandemic Legion, sitting still for too long can cause extremely talented PvP:ers to just quit the game.

ugh dishonourable blobbing goonies, they don't even have enough honour to let themselves be ganked properly but insist on bringing in reinforcements to turn the tables on their attackers, the NERVE

How come they, even with their own killboard stats, only have 48.42% efficiency against KIA then?
