Edited by: Corian Teranos on 15/08/2009 03:01:38 It has always annoyed me that large station containers and general freight containers can not be taken with you when you move between stations. i agree with the fact that industrial ships cant hold a full freight container but there is no reasion that an empty station or freight container cant repackage into a very small size for transport. i mean for gods sake people aside from a thin metal shell they are pretty much all empty space inside. so my petition in short is make all containers alot smaller when repackaged so that they can be moved around easier. also while your at it add an option that allows a operator or the container owner to erase the audit log on containers so you can repackage them withought the stupid waiting period.

I've been saying this ever sense I started playing this game 18 months ago. Makes no sense what so ever that you have to buy more and sell the ones you had when you move.

WHAT!? and remove an ISK sink? Dont be silly.
Seriously though, I'd love to see this. Makes sense, too. Like moving an office filled with cubicles.. tear down the walls stack them on a truck and MOVE THEM. Absolutely everything is subjective. |

That's a multi-million ISK container compared to a 19k container available in highsec. IMHO since these containers are nothing more than "folders" for managing your inventory, they should be implemented as such instead of being so annoying.

Sounds reasonable. Right now, it seems like a mere annoyance instead of a real balancing thing.

At the very least make the audit logs deletable by the owner of the container so we can get rid of them. I have about half a dozen all over the galaxy that keep getting the bloody 3 week timer reset when I try to repackage the bloody thing to sell. CEO - Sisters of Agony |

knowing ccp their ""FIX"" would make deleting the audit log count as a audit log entry and make you wait to repack any way. lol

Personally I never use station containers, if my crap doesn't fit into the freight containers then I am going to have issues moving anyways. I don;t really caare much abut the gigantic unmovable containers, where I want to see an improvement in is GSCs and smaller, when I DO want to move them around, I don;t wwant to have to grab the orca if I need to move more than 2, so having a reduction in size when packed would be very useful. Another thing that would be useful is allowing repackaged containers to be able to be put into other containers, that way when it is time to move, I can pack the boxes into the freight containers and load them into the freighter (personally I don;t see why boxes can;t be put into friehgt containers, if you stack GSCs recursivley you get infinite space, but as freight containers don't let you pack more in less space, recursive packing isn;t possible) -Xindi Kraid: Delivering acerbic wit and scathing comments with just a dash of 'stab you in the eye' |

I absolutely agree on this topic.
Containers... which are basically overdramatized storage boxes.
Should be able to fold up like boxes. When you repackage a container, it should take less space. Between 1/10th and 1/100th the original size.
Also I'm in favor of the idea that they are no longer made/seeded by NPC's. With stated changes to the volume of the repackaged containers. There could be player run corporations that specialize in selling containers.
Just like shuttles, are made by players. Station Containers, should be made by players. They should take far less space while repackaged so they could be shiped and sold in bulk. *********** Military Tactics Dasfry, CEO Demio's Corporation

My beef with station containers currently is I can't get one to a station without a manufacturing facility. It would be nice if containers actually got smaller when packaged so I could take a station container where I wanted.
