Just because we are paranoid, doesn't mean you're not out to get us. |

i can understand stopping ppl who have left a player corp being allowed in their chat, because then it'd be too easy to spy on other corps, . but then, when it comes to n00b corp chat, who would want to spy? what are you going to find out? that n00bs buy stuf at another station then cant find it? or that n00bs dont know what skills to learn? I understand that there is an expectation that the majority of n00b corp members leave and dont look back. and i accept that you can make a new chat for your old mates, but that doesnt help ppl like me. i actualy quite enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you help a n00b buy 100 units of water or whatever menial task they need help with. i could join the ccp help group thingy (cant remember what its called) and then help everyone who needs help, but there will always be a market for ppl who want to help in corp chat. those who dont want to talk in n00b corp chat dont have to log into it, but those who want to help should be able to. i realise that there probbably isnt anyway for this to be implimented easily but i still cant find a legitimate gameplay reason to stop ppl chatting in a n00b corp if they want to. *spying isnt an issue with a n00b corp. *yes, ppl would use it to recruit / spam n00bs. But, they do that anyway by making an alt, so what difference would it make? *if i could stay in n00b corp chat i could leave FNA and still keep helping ppl who needed it. while i accept that this probbably wont happen, and dont have much hope of seeing Dao back in FNA chat unless he can get into FNA itself, i cant see how this could be exploited any more than the system of alts can. dont quite know what im trying to acieve by typing all this so im gonna shut up now and let what will be, be.

Edited by: Karch on 01/11/2004 16:53:09 dao im sure if you keep spamming like this and making repeated threads of the same topic you will get yourself locked. either dont join another corp or join a seperate channel to chat in. if your friends miss you as much as you miss them they will join you dont you think? ---
Was it good for you? |
