Oh the memories.
Who here remembers the last "election"?
Bonus points if you can remember OZ's posts on Eve-i.
Somewhat fewer points if you just remember Eve-i.

If we have an election where something other than Dev fiat matters I am in favour of this idea. I might also vote for OZ if he presents more of his platform in this crazy mixed up world we live in now as opposed to to the crazy and mixed up world of then.

Has there been any major change in EVE lately that did not happen during a convenient extended downtime?
The only question is: which Gallente planet will the devs blow up this time in the process?

In the interests of interstellar peace, the Federation should apply to become a client state of the Empire and therefore become eligble to receive an Amarrian governor.
I of course am too modest to seek such a role, but might be forced to humbly accept it were it offered to me.

Screw you Rodj. My bid for Emperor failed so as far as I'm concerned humility can take a hike.

I think they did last time the elections where.. but in reality it'll be what?.. a few thousand more votes over the Federation of multiple Billions. I doubt your vote would make a difference, even if CCP let players have a small control in the backstory >_> Norrin Ellis > What?! Boobs aren't inappropriate! They feed children! I think they did last time the elections where...
When they tried to have an actual player involvement in the elections players could somehow influence the outcome, or at least support candidates in some way. It was before my time so I am not too sure how things were supposed to be, but that's where the FedaThrons were given out. IIRC it was somewhat similar to the Amarr Emperor elections - each candidate was sponsored by a player corp and they had to do things in order to earn their candidate points. Someone said something about gathering items representing votes or such.
I have no idea why both elections stalled for years, but in the end both were decided in a massive downtime dev posting frenzy that was totally impartial and of course completely decided by the players - anyone who was online at that time could decide over the fate of their faction(*).
Edit: This reminds me to check if they wrote which November the election would happen.
(*) Notice that this happened during a downtime.
