Lo!
Just wondering how everyones fable chars r goin, mines 44 and full evil, scariness and attractivness (played it for about 8 hours yesterday till i collapsed and slept on the floor). Just did the Archaeologists mission a few missions after the arena (in which i murdred whisper for bein so dam easy!).
Has anyone managed to get their characters to be anything but slim? Got full plate mail cept the helm, cant find it, but I still look 18

I haven't played it personally but my friend's character is 36 and virgin... because I quote: 'I don't know how to have relations'.
He told me this in front of his parents, who only heard the last quoted part. They looked at me, then grimly told me it was now my responsibility to have a serious chat about the birds and the bees with him

I played it, have 2 characters, one beat the game. My first one was pure good, had the Halo with maxed strength skills. The guy is ******* HUGE!!!
My second character was borderline evil, maxed Accuracy skills and got dark leather armor and the bandit cap so he looks like the Dread Pirate Roberts.
I was able to get obese by eating 37 Apple Pies at once. Boy, was that good.
I don't think there is a Plate Helm, was looking all over for it myself.

Im 49 now, got soo much strength stuff, like 5 in all now, but do u have to eat to grow larger?

Eat lots of redmeat and apple pies without moving around and you'll ahve an obese character. I did this to open the demon gate next to barrow field. You're wife will comment about your weight, which is amusing. It takes awhile to burn off the large gut...you'll have to watch what you intake and sprint around for days to get slim again. If you just want a massive looking character, train "beserk" magic skill and after casting, save the game before the spell wears off, reload the game to your save point. you'll now have a massive character (the spell's bonus for strength doesn't stay with you though). Once you recast beserk, the effect of this graphics glitch wears off, so you'll have to redo the save/load to be monsterous again.
Played through the game twice, first as a pure good, playing as evil was much more enjoyable, especially after you finish the game and continue playing.

There doesn't seem to be a plate helm ingame  Only gate I haven't opened is the one infront of the Hobbes cave, and finished the game twice also. Checked everywhere.

Heh, My fable hero has a wife in every town (one of them is Lady Grey), is 64, has seriously massive scars, wears bright plate and normal plate when fighting, or the bright will users without the shirt when in town, has all sorts of tattoos, is almost broke, has beaten the game, didn't kill whisper, didn't keep the ebil sword, and is trying to get enough strength skills so he can pull that damn sword out of that stone.

Also, some things you can only buy from wandering merchants. If you accidently or on purpose killed a few or let them die, then that might be why you can't find the item for sale.

Everyone including wondering merchants and villagers respawns, even shop keepers if you give them long enough... I playerd thru twice since release and am currently still messing around with my pure evil Spellwarrior... murdered the entire town of oakvale, then proceeeded to purchase every piece of property
My char isnt getting evil points anymore as thats been maxed out very very early... so evil that the lady grey bird divorced me the same day she married me Its a great game just a bit short

only need a comabt multi higher then 14-15 if you opened the silver key chest in the heros guild that weapon would mkae gettting that easy as can be, kinda sucks there isnt any plate helm but i prefer the assasins mask as you look too bad ass
Also if you tend not to use berserk, if you berserk once and save when you reload youll be the same size as in the berserk until the nxt time you use that spell... hence why my charater resembled an evil lou ferrigno

with enough sacrifices at the shkrom or the avo temples you can decrease your age taking away that grey hair for black or blond depending on you alignment
