I'm tired of being a carebear noob, spending my time mining to replace the massive losses in ships; I've decided to become a pirate, I plan to start out finding carelss miners in low sec, I know where to go for I was a victim plenty of times but what's a good Pirate rupture loadout? I want to start things small and eventually move up to a cynabal. |

You really don't see many t1 cruisers in low sec. They have a couple of disadvantages. They are easier to catch in gate camps. They get munched on by battlecruisers. Their damage output is also not much better than the newly buffed destroyers.
If you are starting out in low sec I recommend the rifter or thrasher. Rifters are more than capable of killing miners and mission runners of all sizes.
As for fitting, the rifter, thrasher and rupture are all very similar. You can shield or armor fit all three successfully.
Good luck, fly dangerously. |

That rupture will die to a cane the first .4 system it jumps through. You should start out in a frigate. Or join RvB and play with them for a while to get the feel of space combat. |

yeah I caught that "careless miners in low sec".
After years of killing everything that moves, there is very little out there that moves and does not kill back.
It's going to be a long search looking for that careless miner, and after one time that careless miner is a little more careful.
Nice build though. |

Going for the more conventional fit, i have replaced the 2point scram for a 1 point simply because of range. Mwd is needed over an ab so you can close distance to whatever you have scanned down in your lowsec belt. the two neuts are counters for frigs comming in to close - and the ecm drones are for being a douche
that said, if this is your first venture into the lowsec bizz, i'd opt for a rifter instead. It can kill miners and noobs just as well as the ruppie. Hf and gl

Give this a try in 0.0, you should be able to kill most solo AFs, Destroyers, and any tackle off gangs. Though if you're new to pvp I reccomend flying a destroyer to start off. |

Nothing wrong with kiting fits - but it wont work with a 1mn mwd ;-) So i revorked it for you and added two TE's to instead of three gyros to compensate for the gimped range of the 220's
If your not to familiar with solo pvping i'd reccomend flying with brawler/knifefighting fits over kiting as kiting requires some manual flying. If you take on a gang your focus should be on any frig class ships comming in close. Fac emp should be in your cargo and drones+neuts should make short work on any frigs.

On the contrary, your teaching them several very important lessons in a game so they dont run into these problems in real life.
1. Genital Warts are bad, they need to be avoided and destroyed!
2. Making an honest living always ends the same way.
3. ??

Start with a thrasher, it barely costs more than a frigate, but is a lot more effective all around.
This fit should work decently, if you dont need as much tank you can swap the damage control for a nano or overdrive and fit a small neut in your extra high. Dont expect to take BCs in this fit, but it can certainly take frigates, some AFs, other destroyers and lightly tanked cruisers. Its also fast enough to escape a lot of gate camps (if you use the nano fit instead of the damage control a non-seboed BC cant catch it on a gate).
