Their purpose is admittedly to ruin our game, so just don't play the game and they have nothing to gank... ruining their game. |

Take your ball and leave so to speak. Because your mining ball (aka Hulk) got ganked. Those who cannot adapt become victims of Evolugalbugaslugakjlwsdhvbzxd |

If they're not enjoying the game, it's irrational to do otherwise.

I'm glad to see a few people getting it.
You who say covetors still get ganked, yes of course they will, but the monetary loss you get is almost non-existant, and the gankers won't get paid either.

Who the Fk are you to dictate what we fly? You can't tell people who pay for a subscription to step down out of a ship that takes awhile to learn to fly. You have some nerve.
And I'm sorry, this just looks stupid to me. What is the difference, in control or gameplay, between flying a hulk and flying a covetor. The only difference is that you get a little bit more mining yield (and yes more tank, but that doesn't seem to work for people anyway huh). But if you think this small mining yield bonus is worth losing hulks over and at the same time putting money back into goonswarms pocket (which some people have already pointed out), then by all means, keep dying. |

I am only in my first month of playing EVE. Reading your statement I am trying to figure out how the goons make money from ganking hulks when they do not ganking covetors. From what I understand both mine a lot of minerals and the difference in load between them is not that much. Then when a ship dies their is always the odds that their mod and cargo drop. So what is it that the hulks have that make so much more money for the goons than a covertor does? I understand that they cost the miner more to buy one? So is that it? Are you saying the goons are behind the ship building of the hulks and they make a killing off the miner when he buys a new one? Other than that I just do not see the cash flow. Even if an expensive mod goes on the hulk what are the odds it will drop? I think ganking hulks is more about the loss to the miner than it is about profit to the goons. Perhaps that is why the covertor is not such a target because it is easy and cost effective to replace. |

Welcome to Eve! GSF is part of a cartel (OTEC) that owns all the moons in Null Sec that produce a mineral required to build a Hulk. Everytime a miner loses a Hulk they go buy a new one and thereby give money to the same people that are sponsoring the hunting and blowing up of the Hulk. It is utilizing their monopoly of a resource as a spigot of isk. And the vast majority of the mining community thinks its about griefing.

Ok so I was kinda close they have a corner on the hulk market interesting. Well then these miners have to figure out a way to get around that little detail. That is what makes EVE in my book. Get er done! |

Yep, every bit of tech that is destroyed means there is less tech around, makes tech even more valuable, means more money.
All hulk miners, thanks for helping to pay for all our reimbursements for the blob fleets, and even your own explosive encounters with PvP.
