Quote: If zombies actually existed, an attack by them would lead to the collapse of civilisation unless dealt with quickly and aggressively.
How do you kill a zombie, though?

Quote: To give the living a fighting chance, the researchers chose "classic" slow-moving zombies as our opponents rather than the nimble, intelligent creatures portrayed in some recent films.

Just walk quickly. You dont even need to race walk, just have a pace faster then slow shuffling of the feet. On an unrelated note, Kneel before Zod! |

You don't have to kill them to win, simply blow them up with bazooka's

How do you prepare for an invasion of the living dead?
Do I really have to type it all out again?
What I've got is a side effect of all my other planning. My house is nestled in the mountains with about 2000 other residents known as gun toting rednecks. I sit on the hill above the town itself with a birds eye view of the surrounding countryside from every angle.
I have 9 acres of land, a good chunk of it being hillside, fenced in with the exception of my front gate. Some areas are double fenced since 8 of the 9 acres belongs to the horses. While the current fencing may not be super it'll be enough while I use my truck and trailer to gather the good fencing material from local fence companies, one being no more than 7 miles away in the redneck town.
Also being a true red blooded American I have a gun safe full of guns ranging from a colt navy pistol to a semi automatic shotgun to a 7mm with an 3x9 40mm hunting scope, and an AK-47 and plenty of ammo for each. I also sport a basic bow in my pickup, some crossbows in the garage, a couple of swords and plenty of knives. (editors note: That is a sample of guns, not the whole collection. There are many, many more)
My garage is massive and can hold 4 good size vehicles if it weren't for the junk I've got in there. That junk can easily reinforce my fence. In the mean time its got all the tools I need to maintain my vehicles all the way to an arc welder in case I get the urge to put spikes on. there is also a small room where my aux fridge and freezers are along with my tank for the well water (I run off a well so my water is independent). The room was originally designed to hold batteries for solar panels but they were never installed, something I've been looking into. Until then I've got back up generators.
In my laundry room I have a pantry with lots of canned goods because sometimes when it snows, it really snows. As in 'Hi boss, I can't come in today because I can't find the vehicles' snowed. Its nice to have a little back up in case you are going to be stuck for a while. In the summer time I grow a little garden which is more than enough for me.
Now in case you may be thinking that I may have a gas issue with the vehicles I have mentioned that I've horses, and horses are faster than zombies. Making a makeshift wagon out of a chevy pickup bed is small time.
If I need to find a tanker of gas then that is no problem as well since my town does a lot of work with logging, and that means lots of big rigs to haul logs with.
And to top it off I got my trusty little guard dog that barks his head off at everything so I'll know well in advance of approaching doom.
I know where my national guard armory is in case I opt for a APC and I know how to make pipe bombs and flamethrowers. I know where the PD supply store is in case I want any riot/swat armor. I also have CB's installed as a form of communication (The original ventrilo).
And over all my state isn't super populated populated. Not like the suckers who live in places like Seattle or SF or NY.
