Edited by: Unknown Appliant on 19/08/2009 12:18:04 hey. I fought a succubus in amarr twice the other day in my frigates but i lost both time. What is the best ship to use to take it out?

Try assault. Shield + lasers rocks now.

Hmmm.
Well his natural weak spot is EM damage and he needs cap to run his guns.
Maybe a Punisher?
With ACs and a neut? Or lasers?

Use neuts and make him cry. Like... a curse or a pilgrim.

Try an exorcism.

Rifter with Autocannons firing EMP ammo, plus a neutralizer
or
Punisher with Autocannons firing EMP ammo, plus nos and self-rep
or
Punisher with Lasers, plus nos
The options are out there, but something with a Neutralizer will probably work best as the Succubus will be very cap-dependent.

I wouldn't use a Punisher because it doesn't have 3 mid-slots.
The kind of people who run around dueling you in faction frigates are fully prepared to bug out and abandon the fight when things appear to be going badly. You will need to web and scramble the guy, and make absolutely sure he doesn't escape scrambler range.
I recommend a Rifter with a 400mm armor plate (you'll need a Micro Auxiliary Power Core to fit this), an energized EM resistance membrane, 3 autocannons and a neut, with a warp scrambler and stasis webbifier in the mid slots. Kill his MWD, his mobility, and his capacitor, and shred him with EMP ammo while his lasers bounce off your armor plate.

x2 Punishers and a Catalyst made one melt pretty quickly. Me and the Catalyst bit the DUST from his fleetmates but we probably could have done it with just the x2 Puni's:

Edited by: Davina Braben on 19/08/2009 15:10:14 Pun neut fit 125mm * 3, Neut Scram, AB 400mm, ANPII, DCII, Gyro
Rifter neut fit 150mm * 3, Neut AB, Scram, Web 400mm, MAPC, DCII
The pun has more EHP and can run the neut for longer so I'd maybe anticipate that grinding the succ to a halt.
The real question would be if it was quicker with a web on it running the AB than your target was. If he has an AB fitted maybe not. If he has an MWD maybe.
It'd help you to know his fit. Check for killboard losses.
