But a quick look at this poll shows that whats actually happening is about 11% of people are making 90% of the bad noise. This is probably true of many other topics here on the eve-o forums and life in general, why do people ever post about stuff when they are happy about it? :)

Generalissima Gallente	Posted - 2009.08.19 22:20:00 - [5] Ah yes, the accusation that those unhappy with SOV being turned over to people who don't even play this game are just a "vocal minority". SOE used that canard to brush off the avalanche of opposition to the NGE. For all the good it did them, they in the end lost in excess of 90% of their pre-NGE subscriber base and didn't gain hardly any new players the changes were designed to attract. And they were doing the same thing, essentially, that DUST514 is attempting to do: attract a more "casual" player who wants to play a MMOFPS (the NGE combat system was a very ****ed FPS, btw). To achieve this they were willing to throw away their entire existing loyal player base. Now, CCP hasn't proposed eliminating 2/3rds of EVE, but they ARE proposing taking exclusive control of a significant amount of it away from us and giving it to this new "target audience" they seek. And they are following in SOE's footsteps in bringing in jackboot ** moderation and not allowing us to discuss an announced gameplay change on the gameplay forum. Which will only make this worse for them.

That's only true 19 times out of 20, though. More seriously, there's a lot of selection bias in that poll - Dust fans are way more likely to follow a link to a fansite than Dust-haters.
