I got a mining mission for Gneiss(Green Arisite) and I warped to the location and there is none
Is anyone familiar with this mission and where to look for the Green Arisite?

i guess its an omber type ore. not sure. just activate all ore types in your overview

There is all types of broken and cloven astroids but all of them say "Invalid target, can only activate this on an Asteroid."
There is orange, metallic, red cloven, rock formation and a stalagtite formation
All say "Invalid target, can only activate this on an Asteroid."

There are not any asteroids that are called Green Arisite. What you need to do is mine the Gneiss asteroids at the location given to you by your agent. The Green Arisite will then show up in your cargo hold as a byproduct of mining the Gness. Be careful though not to let your cargo hold fill up because if any of it gets ejected into space you're screwed and you will not be able to complete the mission. The asteroid will only contain the exact amount necessary to complete the mission.
This is how all mining missions work that ask for a special type of ore.

How to kill interceptors: Zip down your fly and release. After about 10 orbits your stream just might hit him. Or a multi webbed Rapier should slow him down enough that you can drop #2 on him. |

Okay refigured out how to use my overview settings
(It's been 5 years for me) and found the gneiss
Um all my mining missions I ejected the ore out into space and came back with my hauler to bring back to station...

No no, I don't mean purposely jettisoning it (jetcan mining). Thats fine. I mean if your cargo hold gets full and your mining lasers have no place to put it and thus "throws it into space" or whatever that message says. Its been awhile since I did a mining mission, or mining in general.

Odd.. I've gotten the holf full message before and just emptied and came back to mine the rest.. I believe they have changed that mechanic. I could be wrong on that, but I dont think I am.
