Edited by: Xharky on 15/10/2004 09:30:22 After looking through Axel's 2 movies, they reminded me of an old movie based on the manga(Battle Angel Alita) he used...
Anyone know where to find this movie "Gunnm"? also known as "Battle Angel" or "Battle Angel Alita"....was released like over 11 years ago in 1993.
Can't find it anywhere now :/
Heres a linky of some info on it on IMDB Linkage

Pity you cant find it, but surely there's someone with VHS that can DVD it for you? Not me. I moved on before I got there, but I heard it's good. Try newsgroups or the P2P networks.

GC? CG? Computer generated movies can be good if they are made the right way. Saw Innocence just a couple of days ago, and that thing was beautiful. I loved the mix of classic character animation on CG background. 3D chars still have some way to go before they get as believable and as expressive as when they are done the old fashioned way. Like in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, everything was very beautifully done, the characters looked good, but there was something about things like emotions that dropped the credibility of them.

Yeah the CG Movie was only -JUST- approved this month(October)
Hope they dont **** it up like Final Fantasy : The Spirits Within ( The facial expressions there wasn't good enough IMO, and the characterss had a complete "artificiality" about them unlike traditional anime)

yeah im reading the last order series and it starts from another ending of the original series. SPOILERS
As many might remember gally is killed by nova using a child bomb, then is resurected with an imaginos body in salem, there she rescues lou and at in the end saves the scarpyard form being destroyed by the falling salem. Well, in the last order series gally is resurected in salem with an imaginos body BUT salem seems to be in a war...
NOTE: im spanish and i read the comic books in spanish so i maybe have changed the name of some places/people... if something sounds strange let me now posting here or sending an eve mail -----------------------------

Edited by: Reiisha on 20/10/2004 14:38:05 /me is a HUGE Gunnm fan
Anwyay, the DVD is on sale in a lot of stores here in the Netherlands, you could try finding it on www.bol.com.
I also just ordered Last Order 3 and 4.... I love this manga :)
The anime is not as good as the manga though, the story has been changed, and part 1 is severely shortened (The Makaku storyline has been altered for the worse....)
