òA bug was introduced in Apocrypha 1.3 where the passive bonus of active hardeners was applied when the module was active. This has been fixed, and the passive bonus will no longer apply when armor or shield hardeners are active.
Does this mean us active juys have been getting more than we should have been, or less?

I've notice EFT not being exactly what i get in game. Might make up the difference but either way with stacking effects and what not, i don't believe we'll see much of a difference. couple points at most.

What the hell is the point of the small passive bonus when your gonna turn on the hardener anyway? Might as well just use a passive hardener.

Heh, I've always thought that bonus was rather stupid. It only serves to keep you alive for a second or two more when you're already capped out, but death is both certain and imminent anyway.

You fail big if your not cap stable and your using active hardeners.

Boy, isn't CCP great in giving us an extra 13.5%-7.5% resistance on our buffer tanks when our cap is dry?
I'm sure I've never credited it much, but there have been times where I can safely say it has saved my ass in a pinch. (Read: I WON THE FIGHT AT 2% STRUCTURE!!!)

You sir might want to try something other than missions before doing such comments. Especially in a laggy enviroment. Hell, I've heard of titans failing to put their hardeners on before going down.

Messoroz, I guess you have never faced a Nuet Dominix or Curse in combat? I actually found his post funny... I could actually hear the female english voice saying "The capacitor is empty" ___

More, until today.
Before the bug, it was 55% if you have only one active hardener. With the bug, it was 59.5% (55% + Passive / Stacking Penalty)...
This made Shield tank more viable against Armor tank, same if Armor was still the best, but CCP hates the idea that we Caldari could have a few better tank, and worse, some morons made petitions... So they correct it.
I still wait the correction for the last shield/armor nerf btw, as shield was more nerfed than armor... _______ Local is fine, period.
CCP devs, you nerfed shield resists by 8.3% but armor by 7.1% (The old Explo/EM "10 points" Nerf). When will you correct this inconsistency ? |

They'll get right on that... as soon as they introduce passive armor regeneration.

Sigh.... as if shield isn't STILL a better active tank than armor after your so called nerf. I grant you that armor is a better buffer tank, but jeeze... that's actually somewhat balanced.

By that logic, applying the passive bonus even when hardeners are active would still be stupid. If you get in a situation where your tank is going to fail with active hardener resists, then a few % more is most likely not going to save it either.
