And we wouldn't have it any other way ---- a reply which adds nothing to a thread or results in a thread being bumped with no new discussion worthy content is considered spam and as such warrants a forum ban |

Those 26 players are currently buying up all small/medium rig BPOs they can to maximize their profits.

Well I have been awake since 9 am this morning (GMT+1) and its now 17:30 and I havent been able to log in. Had I not stacked a 3d skill queue last night I'd be unhappy now I suspect. Liekwise I have been unable to access to game for nearly 9 hrs. Why is it unreasonable for me and others in Europe to be re-embursed? Live outside the US and somehow you don't count? Nice.

Would it be fair for CCP to reimburse due to unexpected DT delays? Yes.
Do they have to? No.
If I recall correctly, the EULA states something along the lines of "we do not guarantee the server will be up at any given time", and you agreed to that when you accepted it, and for this reason, CCP has never reimbursed for as long as I've been playing, and I don't think they'll start now.

What would people do if CCP charged extra every time the server came up early?
'nuff said.

People would riot, because it's our nature to always want more, but react negatively when something is taken back. Which is why CCP isn't going to change their policy.

I haven't, but I know they last ~6 hours every week.
This sort of thing happens with every patch...I bet the database issues are related to the scaled rigs and the sheer number of rigs needing to be changed over. That's one thing you can't expect when patching...
Oh, and Murphy's Law is excellent for this.

i woke up this morning and played other games, because i've been around long enough to know downtime on big patches is usually extended beyond the predicted time.
Welcome to eve. Some other interesting facts about this game, that you may not know about: You can join player-made corporations. Most of the market is player-driven. Forums are for discussion, not crying.
