It's been there for a long time. Just the occassions where it comes to show are rare. Today we had excessive luck on that matter  .

Well the forums seem to be working faster than they have since I got home from work... so might be a good sign.
Then again could just mean they've reassigned the hamsters.

Ehm, so people leave the game cause it work like **** a few days a year when deploying patches?
Also you "not broke dont fix it", I kinda like new content and think this game would be pretty dead now if they never added any.
However CCP should look over there patching procedures.
My suggestion is to shut down the servers for as much time as they need and don't rush and and give everyone a free extra game day to there account afterwards instead.

I got free stuff today....seriously. Somehow a T2 rig BPC and the completed rig jumped into my manufacturing queue I had started when I got on the first time. Checked my T2 salvage stash...none of it was used to produce it.
Thanks CCP, more than covers my losses.

I think they already listened to your suggestion in 2003 when they started patching. The server was actually down UNTIL they decided that it was ok to open it the public and only after that when us players hammered in it decided to go belly up.
So ... erm ... yes. They take the server down as long as needed.
And they will NEVER give free time.
You are not the first requesting, you will not be the last and CCPs' stance will not change either. Move along, nothing to see here.
