Below is the message I received from a GM regarding a loss due to desync. My ship was in a warp dist prob not moving at all after I told it to move and align. After I told him my ship died right next to sentry drones I had lauched in the beginning of the engagement (and a long long story it was), here is the reply I got:
BTW I was never webbed or 2-point scrammed. Do GM's even look at logs?
Hello,
As far as I know, a microwarpdrive is affected by a warp disruption zone. It will thus show as active, but the actual velocity will in fact be less than normal, and even less than if the ship were being webbed. The reason being: Due to intended drawbacks in the use of microwarpdrives, the ship's mass will be increased under the circumstances, described in this case, making it less slower and less agile. And secondly, the signature radius is increased under the circumstances, making it easier to target lock the ship.
As for the log information, I could not verify, that your ship had escaped the disruptive area of effect. All I could verify, is that the ship was slowed down considerably, and that your opponents managed to destroy it, before it exited the bubble. I'm afraid to have to inform you, that I could not find any indication of errors, and since all details point to a correct course of events as far as game mechanics and current game play rules are concerned, I cannot comply with your claim for reimbursement in this case. I'm sorry.
Best regards, Senior GM Huginn EVE Online Customer Support

Moderator should be here in....what day is it?...really? wow, week goes by fast...okay, by Monday probably. Maybe Tuesday. Most likely Wednesday. Wednesday would be a fair estimate.
When they get here...well try'll probably edit things and say something like "please do not post messages from gm's".

Heh, had it been any other GM I may have agreed with you. But Huginn knows her stuff.
I've shared many petitions with her and just about every time she's solved my problem when there was a legitimate claim for reimbursement.

Don't laught too hard. CCP loves to put little undocumented stealth nerfs in like that. That or the GM was clueless.

Oh okay thanks. Turn this into a personal flame war why don't you? All I'm saying is that you picked the wrong GM to pick on. And I can attest that Huginn does know her stuff, so maybe it's you who's the tool?

**Edit because I guess you can't post GM replies**
In a nutshell the GM told me that Warp Distruption Probe bubbles hinder a MWD from working. he also said it looked like I was webbed. I was never webbed, my logs do not mention a web at all. I was not 2-point scrammed either.
Do GM's even look at logs?
PS. I want this awesome new peice of bubble tech.
Cool story bro.
