You guys can complain about our tactics all you want, but as long as they're effective, we're gonna use em, it's not our problem if you're *****ing about em. :)

well nice video
but your pilot has to learn how to use a dual mwd rupture and how to set it up
since it doesnt look like xetic had any support ships you could have orbited and pwned them a bit more Wanna fly with me?

I thought this was kinda cool actually and it looked smooth and not laggy at all. Nice and long fight as well.
Also, very sweet for being your first movie!

i hate those ruptures combined with interceptors. 1 on 1 they're pretty easy to kill because they think they're invulnerable :) -------------------------------------------

Ok the video was 10 minutes of a rupture strafing ridiculously fast, going back and forth scrambling people. And they killed 4 bs's. Kudos. GJ. Wow.

the vid was good, liked the music too. Tho what i'd love to see is that people start to edit their videos to "match" the music a bit more, as in timing, not as in style.
But that's only my personal opinion. Keep them coming anyways

You were all setup for long range and running away, which has its use I guess, but another setup would have let you get more kills in that first 8 on 4 with only slightly more risk to your cruisers. It took a very, very long time for the first ship to go down, and for that time the odds were stacked in your favor by a large margin
I mean there were even times when the ship overshot the target because it was going so stupidly fast running away that the pilot didnt have time to scramble. When it happened at the planet and you 2 were alone, with plenty of time to scramble, such a wasted opportunity. I didnt finish the video after that part, because I got bored, maybe it gets better later
I'm sure you'll take it as a flame because of my history speaking to Duke, but it isnt, I just dont get it. I mean you did win, but if you say its the "best battle youve ever been in," I dont believe you. If I were the leader and I saw such a huge gap in between scrambles, I would have been ****ed
Well there are reasons for a lot in this fight. They had roughly 10 bs's in the area. Sometimes they were all in one place sometimes we made some warp out. Since they had 2/3 scorps in their fleet and we had none we got jammed quite frequently. We only had 4 ravens and since they cycle jammed we didn't take down targets very fast. What we were aiming for was making one warp out, then follow that one and gank his ass before his buddies came in. And we did that till we evened up the odds. Then they retreated when it was 7 of their bs's (no scorps) vs 4 of ours. And btw when only 2 of our support craft have scramblers i'm not gonna throw them into the fight and letting them stick close to their bs's, that results in them getting killed and us not getting fast scrambles. Since moving our 4 bs's close into their 8 is kinda stupid....
Anyways, flame on!

Originally by: Korath Since when is helping to fight a battle at high speed an "exploit type" tactic?
I never said it was. If I'm not mistaken there is even a ship class out there build for that purpose. although most ships I encounter outrun them atm.
what I meant by "exploit type" is fitting 2 mwd's or 1 mwd and a oversized afterburner on a single ship. It's way unbalanced and CCP are working on that issue I belive.
as much as I dislike these speed ships there is one comforting thing that comes to mind when I ecounter them and that is the enemy is actualy scared, and wants to make sure he can get out of fighting range before he loses his ship to a superior fighter.
ps. keep the vids coming though.

Using a different tactic is not being scared. Sorry we don't sit there and tank dmg like every lamer in the game. It's a different style of fighting.... But hey, that is a difficult concept.

Get your fact straight young man.
If it would have been an ôExploitö then CCP would have banned its use and the people that are doing it.
If CCP is not taking any actions against it, it is not an exploit, but instead a tactical choice (you could even go as far as saying it is approved).
Just because people donÆt fight in the particular way you see fit it does not mean they are scared of you, but are just not using the same tactic as you.
Get used to people using different fighting tactics and do something about instead of complaining about it.
Different possibilities are what make the game interesting. If we were all using the same setup and fighting style the game would boring as hell.
Just because something is fixed doesn't mean you can't break it

Exploit? What are you smoking? Do you realize the sacrifices you have to make on a ship like that to run that setup? There are pros and cons to everything in this game. There's nothing to fix here. Move along. -

i agree with most of u said, but this part there are 2 things id like to say:
1. It was the best battle considering we faced an enemy using ew, with none of our own, and it was twice our size. That stuff is fun, ive been in plenty of bigger battles, but that was the most enjoyable by far.
2. He was very ****ed about not getting those ships scrambled, but if u look, they were using heavy nos, so just cant sit close for long or your cap, and thus speed are gone. ---------------
