You're probably not aware you're speaking to someone who watched his mother go through chemotherapy for 9 years.
Chemotherapy doesn't just slow down tumor growth. It actively kills tumors.
Also, quite a bit of medicine isn't targeted at symptoms. In fact, I'd argue most medicine a doctor would prescribe directly targets the source of the problem, as long as you're stable.

So you know that she won't be cured.
Because you know that tumors are only a result of the cancer, and that chemo doesn't actually rid anyone of cancer. NO ONE has ever been cured of cancer through chemo therepy, that is a FACT that even the medical INDUSTRY points out. Remission, isn't a cure, and chemo is about treating the symptom, not curing.
You don't tell your mother to not get chemo, right?
I'm in the same boat as your mother, only I'm not going to die from cancer. ********* treats every symptom that the drugs I'm prescribed treat, with no ill side effects. Even my doctors support the use of ********* and have even told me I should consider it, even if our governor doesn't drop the moritorium on the bill that was passed that legalzed it for medical use.
I was getting sicker on the drugs!

Or let me put it this way.
My state passed a bill to decriminiize, and then the governor put a hold on it because he didn't want state employees to be federally prosecuted, even though it's never happend in any other state.
Ultimately, because it actually effects me on a medical level, it has become my problem.
The only people who's problem it isn't are the people who woudln't use it for medical reasons to begin with, and therefore don't really care. |

Personally, I use it recreationally obviously. Beside high blood pressure, I have no other health issues. At night, when wife and little girl goto sleep, I go downstairs pack one, go outside and smoke. Afterwards, I load up EvE and have some fun for about 2 or 3 hours, then bed.
But some idiots both here in the forums and government, believe that people like myself, should be prosecuted.
I run a very successful business, don't smoke during the day, or even around my family(wife hates the smell) and daughter has no clue.
Point is, shouldn't be this way. Someone else shouldn't dictate their way of life on others. |
