I could really use a few really good Ishkur fits for solo low-sec action. SH and BC have some pretty lame ones Can anyone help me out?

And don't tell me BC doesn't have any good fittings...the top ishkur fit is great, I fly it myself. It is awesome. (I've been trying out a hybrid collision and burst rigs, increases damage a nice bit)

Three more or less viable fits I can think of.
1) straight up MWD+web+blaster ishkur
2) ranged MWD-rail ishkur
3) ab+td blaster ishkur
Each of their fits are fairly self-explanatory. Personally I'd prefer the mwd-web-blaster ishkur but to be honest I feel that none of these are worth it in comparison to T1 cruisers atm for lowsec work.

a long range ishkur is worth it, unlike the other variations. tackler and anti-frig in one. plus you get to live...

Well, it definitively has a good cance of successfully disengaging which makes it much more survivable and hence not as costly to fly. However your target selection is pretty slim and you can still dodge most things that you don't wanna tango with in a mere Vexor.

I guess from what I've read and seen in action the Ishkur does 2 things well.
1) Heavy tackler. (MWD)
2) kill a carebear very slowly creating a LOL mail. (AB)
Thing to do before flying a frigate in battle---create an anti drone combat overview tab.

well, depends on how you feel about t2 really. with HACs going for 130+ mil its not really that crazy in comparison (they are both crazy expensive for the performance though)

it's a specialized role. id pay 35 mill to laugh at other frigates and warrior II's, while still doing my job. thats for small gang support. but if you really want to solo, best you can hope for are pve-fit targets. in this case, mwd + blasters, close your eyes and hope for the best!

The drones make it a pretty versatile ship. That being said, I think the advent of the rig patch may have weakened it relative to the other assault ships.
1) There are no drone dps rigs.
2) It can't fit a 400mm plate, 3 t2 electron blasters, and mwd without the aid of a fitting mod, so trimarks are out.
3) Armor rep rigs work decently if you fit a cap booster - but with nos only the rep will be pretty limited by cap. Even with a cap booster, the active tank will be relatively weak, especially in comparison to the Vengeance, although it does decently overheatd. Note that armor rigs reduce speed, which is a significant drawback. Additionally, you lose out on a web or TD by fitting the cap booster.
4) Dmg and rof rigs don't affect the drone dps, and as such have a quite limited affect in comparison to using them on a ship that uses only turrets for dps.
Does anyone have any fits that make good use of rigs?

The Wolf is the coolest imo, but just not worth it in the end - although I did fly a few faction/deadspace fit ones at some point, even made a profit on them before they died.
Nowdays I'll just grab a Thrasher though, particularly with cheap rigs it's a beast of a ship and cheap to boot. You get to buy two by just ransoming a single AF

You flying an Arti fit? Been caught out by a few of those in my AB frigs. I lost 2 Rifters trying to kill one for payback! (cos i just had to use a Rifter) Got him though...and how sweet it was.
Now i just jump in my MWD/AC Thrasher and face r*pe them hehe.

I use both, the AC fit for plex camping and such, and the arty fit for open space. The inty killing capabilities are the selling point of the arty fit ;)
