This is hypothetical for my own knowledge. Lets say a corp that has a high enough sec status to anchor a POS in highsec space wanted to fold into your corp. So you get their members and buy their POS. Now, your corp doesn't have the sec rating to anchor it's own POS. Will the POS now be yours and usable since it had already been established earlier?

If you have to unanchor it you won't be able to reanchor it without standings. |

you as the non-owning corp would have to join the POS holding corp.

Hey,
If you want a high sec pos, I have one for sale, pre anchored and only my alt in the corp.
The process to take ownership is as follows,
1) App into the corp, 2) See the pos for your self, 3) take note that it has 2 labs and a med tower, 4) Bookmark the tower, 5) Check to make sure you aren't going to pay too much, I only want the cost of the items, 6) Give me the isk, 7) I make you ceo, well, my alt does, 8) Turn on the tower and online the labs and away you go.....

Belonging to it - "its" It is - "it's"
It's not that hard. Do you say "hi's" or "her's" "your's"?

Apostrophes generally indicate missing letters or the posessive. There are few ambiguous cases - this may be the only one. It's one of the most common grammatical errors, and therefore one of the most easily forgiven. You're example's are irrelevant since none of them demonstrate's the same error.

There's this thing it's called, English isn't my native tongue and it's a stupid language with a lot of inconsistent rules.
It's not that hard to be tolerant and quit being a fekking english teacher on a damned forum. --Vel

To the people who answered my question. If I join the POS holding corp then take over as CEO how do I rename the corp? Can I even do that?
And I actually like English, it is my language, and yes it is inconsistent and constantly changing. There is a difference between American English and the English Europeans learn. Our English (American) is more colorful and dynamic which also makes it more confusing and frustrating to others. But, as I found out the other day, my gf who can speak Swedish, French, German, and American Sign Language, had trouble with German the other day because even they've changed and added new slang words to their vocabulary. And, I still make mistakes even in my native speech. Is class over now...can I go.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer my POS question.

Given your situation - no .... to keep the POS you would have to fold your corp into the one with the high-sec POS .... and no, renaming corps not permitted. . "Out of the good of evil born, Came Uriel's voice of cherub scorn" |

I am no POS expert but I believe you will have to join the Corp that owns the POS like Sun said. The plus side is that the POS will stay even if said corps standings drop below what is required. If you do un-anchor it though you will not be able to put up any more unless your members in the corp supply enough standings to boost the corps faction standings again.
You cannot change a corps name and it's also worth noting that once a corps name is used in EVE it's gone forever and becomes part of EVE history if you ever completely remove it from existence. Corp names cannot be reused.

Wonder how long before we start running out of descent names??? I may go on a corp creating spree just to take up all kinds of legit names ---- a reply which adds nothing to a thread or results in a thread being bumped with no new discussion worthy content is considered spam and as such warrants a forum ban |

Anchored POS ownership cannot be transferred. If you need standings for reanchoring, the procedure is:
- Only corp members with desired standings stay in the remaining corp, others take temporary leave
- Once the corp standings are as desired, the POS is unanchored/transferred/reanchored
- The corp members join back, and the folding corp is closed
