Location: Amarr Expert Distribution Station
Subject: Battle report by Captain Siobhan of PIE Inc
A combined CVA fleet consisting of PIE, Imperial Dreams, Dark Seraph and two members from the new CVA member corp, NGO, mounted a significant anti-terrorist patrol through known Minmatar haunts last night.
The patrol was fairly uneventful apart from the destruction of an enemy frigate and cruiser by the Imperial Dreams pilots in the system of Hek.
Word came in that three enemies had been sighted in Ashab at the Amarr gate so the fleet was ordered to return home at full speed to catch these interlopers.
Unfortunately when it arrived in Ashab the Minmatars had been forewarned and had moved to safe locations.
The task force commander gave the order for pilots to head for home and the fleet started to breakup. However, before it had totally dispersed word came in of more terrorists in Chaven. A small fleet of CVA ships headed for Chaven in the hope of an engagement and started a search.
Meanwhile the system of Ashab had been pretty much emptied of CVA forces and Safid Gorbet of Minmatar Marines took advantage of this to strike at PIE pilot Sally Soft at the Amarr gate.
Luckily Sally Soft managed to escape the Scorpion and raised the alarm. I warped to the Amarr gate in my Apocalypse and sure enough the Scorpion was sitting there at 50km out. I started to lock but was completely jammed. The puny terrorist battleship could never seriously hamper my Apocalypse's defences so I waited for the Minmatar to warp out of the engagement.
By now the CVA ships in Chaven had been alerted and several frigates rushed to my aid at the Amarr gate. Word came that the Scorpion was aligning to warp out but he was too slow. By now a group of brave CVA friage pilots had reached the scene and the terrorist battleship was trapped.
Finally the lock on my Apocalypse's guns broke and I was able to acquire the target. I merely had to deliver the coup de grace as the CVA frigates and one cruiser had already removed the Scorpion's shields and half its armor.
This terrorist ship exploded. Amarr space was a tiny bit safer - at least for a while. Fortunately a PIE camerman was on hand to capture the final moments of the doomed terrorist battleship.
Minmatars watch this and learn. This is what happens when you insist on interfering in Amarr affairs:

Never a dull moment...........
Thats what Captain Archbishop of the TES Lords Fury VI thought as the massive Maller class Heavy Cruiser raced across Ashab and into battle. Earlier in the day a routine anti-terrorism patrol into the heart of the illegally claimed Minmtar "republic" had seen many close calls but no kills. While his CVA mates at Imperial Dreams had killed a cruiser and a frigate it was all Archbishop could do to focus on the events at hand given the tedium of patrol.
He was also looking for revenge. The day before some terrorists had ambushed him outside a station and destroyed the TES Lords Fury V.
God must have his revenge .......... and so must I.
Calls for assistance were coming over CVA communcations channels. A Scorpion Battleship under the command of known terrorist criminal General Safid Gorbet of the Minmatar Marines had been sighted at the Ashab gate to Amarr. Under pursuit earlier he had been able to avade a CVA patrol and hide in a safe location near a nebula. Now he was trying to escape. It was not a good decision.
As the Maller heavy cruiser exited warp the sight of the massive Scorpion Battleship filled the viewscreen. Communications screamed out from the ships in the battle. One ship, the Apocalypse of Captain Siobhan was locked down and jammed. The firepower of the Apocalypse could make short work of the Scorpion but was unable to lock. "I can't lock him" said Captain Siobhan in frustration as the smaller frigates encircled the Scorpion and held it down. Encased in a web from the smaller frigates orbiting it it was fighting for its life. Sensors picked up cruise missiles and drones everywhere. But the Maller was over 60k away and had warped in to the wrong location.
"ENGAGE MICROWARP!" he commanded as the Maller suddenly accelerated to over 1000 m/s. "50k....... 40k......30k" a young Ensign on his first patrol called out as the Maller streaked across the sky toward the webbed Scorpion.
"Standby lasers and energy devices, engage repair systems, prepare to web and scramble" the captain barked out orders as the Maller closed the distance.
"Sir within range!" said the Ensign..........
"FIRE AT WILL!" said Archbishop as the five medium lasers flashed to life filling the void between the two ships with rays of righteousness.
"Sir 10k out!" said another officer as the tactical officer engaged the scrambler and webifier adding his net to the ones already formed by the frigates.
"Set orbit and continue fire" said the Captain as the viewscreen suddenly flashed red. The Scorpion had turned its drones and guns on the Maller. "Sir shields failing". In no time at all the shields of the heavy cruiser were gone and armor was in jeopardy.
Still the Maller fought on. Special devices engaged reinforcing the armor of the cruiser and the automated repair systems held the armor damage at bay.
Meanwhile the sensors detected the Scorpion was slowly dying but still very much a threat. Shields and most of the armor gone the frigates and Maller continued their relentless attack.
Suddenly a bright flash filled the sky........... the Apocolypse had opened fire.
Bolts of light, the rays of righteousness, filled the sky as the Apocalypse hit the Scorpion with its eight massive laser turrets. Without cap to jam the Apoc the Scorpion was now subjected to the firepower of 100 cruisers at once. The Apocalypse made short work of the Scorpion and Archbishop watched with pleasure as the terrorist Scorpion exploded with a bright flash of light.
But there was still more to do.
"Lock the pod he mustn't escape!" said the Captain. The Maller locked on the pod and with the other ships opened fire. The terrorist was brought to his final judgement.
(OOC) Great fight guys and hats off to Safid Gorbet for holding out as long as he did. I had FRAPS running during the fight (realized it afterwards) so I threw together this quick video in about 15 minutes. It's about two minutes long and has some nice shots of the Scorpion going down. Not real fancy but fun.
