 afternoon,

I'm just wondering... how many deaths are an advanced clone worth?

do I buy one and loose my worries for all time (provided I buy one I can grow in)... or do I have to buy a new one after each and every death?

 - karma.

I think you have to buy a new clone for each time you die. Anyway..i bought my clone the same day it was avail. And i paid a little over 10 000 isk for the next best clone. Was that a bug or was it really cheap the first day? :)

 that was a bug.

they said so later that day... and any clones bought on *that* day, while they were bugged was active for one death only.

but I haven't seen Anywhere that says that clones after that are any different..

some one in the know care to shed some light upon this here matter?

When you die your clone gets activated, when that happens you "loose" that clone and have to get a new one. So yes, clones are only valid for one death ;) But also remember that your clone isn't necessary if your ship is destroyed, your pod has to be destroyed also.

it is only a one time buy so not every week or something like that for your ship I dont even insure my ship the insurance is to high for what you get back I think they should just give you your ship back.

i agree madcow insuring any thing bigger then a friggate feals like a waste of the premium.

i to managed to get a good clone for 10k the first day they where out. good thing as i had a run in with m0o not that long after. yes clones are a one time buy but they are worth the price. as you save your self a lot of retraining time if you are unfortunate enough to get poded. with my new clone a b+ i have a good ammount of celing before i have to upgrade it again. i have even gone as far as to put a fully equped ship in my hanger where my clone is set. just incase.

I've equipped biomass with thermo nuke skull implants. In the event I get podded. everyone in my current region and all neighboring regions will be immediatly podded, along with their clone contract.

@wrangler.. true, but unfortunatly, there is a growing "community" of cowa.. erm pirates
, who will pod you for me, there is no flight without a sufficient clone

@Madcow and Griss.. yes and no, it depends how, and how far away from "save" space you wanna fly
 the insurance is "useless" if
 - you stay in 1.0 - 0.7 systems and / or
 - you are part of a well organized fleet all the time and / or
 - are willing to buy a new stock-ship - in case of the lost
 - are rich like hell
oh, Madcow, would be nice to get your ship back, as a part of the insurance
best would be a "clone" of the ship

 greetings
