Yeah, actually I do too. Those things were actually interesting commodities.
Also, though nothing new here:
- Working damps
- 5 heavy Myrm
- Omnipresent HM Ferox
- Admittedly overpowered EOS
- The time before rigs

WTZ to me is the worst thing CCP ever did, every other change I got over, some were good, bad, most were nessecary.
But WTZ was a terrible solution to the BM problem. But yeah what can ya do...whining just makes me a *****!
but I do really miss those days, made the whole universe seem 1000 times bigger. The chase to the station when WT's were around, the preparations with the instas before any trip through low sec, the LESS dangerous camps that stopped you leaving not insta popped you on the way IN XD -----------------

Who remembers when we were able to stack MWD's : ) .. 30,000 m/s anyone?
Who remembers when Battleships were the top of line?
Who remembers when the Apoc's were the best ships to mine in?
Who remembers when there was no such thing as 'Warp to 0km'? (not that long ago..) ---------

I dunno.. traveling was also very tedius. I didn't mind the having to run away and 15km of doom things, but the tedius traveling...

It at least meant that the speed of ships meant SOMETHING outside of combat....
I remember having to choose between more cargo expanders or more overdrives :D
now with wtz indys speeds are utterly irrelevent -----------------

Dont let people make BM's within 20k of stations or gates, simple as. Theres no reason to be able to
People are always going on and on about how instas were killing the game that WTZ saved it but it was just a poor solution to a bad problem, not the only solution....just the one they went with. A "solution" that didnt get rid of the problem just literally gave in to it.... -----------------

people would just put bookmarks 100km away from the gate, and warp to 100.
SO remove all bookmarks 100km from stuff? meh. I miss the days when t2 ammo was useful outside of sniping. Oh yea, then they nerfed sniping by reducing the range bonus.

Edited by: Thingymawotzit on 26/08/2009 05:47:28 I miss the OLD curse.
The OLD curse could do this -
- 7000m/s
- Suck opponent dry
- Lay down enough dps to kill a bs
- Maintain cap easier
- Outrun drones
- Use damps and not TD's so you are immune to all ships even the missile ones
That thing was the wtfpwnmobile.
Also myrm with 5 heavies. Although myrm is still good but ppl are ignorant.

Edited by: Amalinze Tehkat on 26/08/2009 07:05:22 I miss the time when:
- That ship I used was unstoppable
- Moving between systems took forever (even the damned tutorial suggested insta BM's to save time...)
- There was a ship that was bigger than all the others
- Not everyone could afford the ship that was bigger than all the others
- Missileboats were 100% removed from pvp.
- Fights were over in 20 seconds or less.
- There was but 1 correct way to fit each ship. In the event that fielding said ship didn't get you laughed at.
- That fit required 25 mil SP. Also 250 mil isk.
- Don't have those things? GTFO

Really though I just wish that propulsion modules weren't so mandatory these days. I never liked that style of fitting.

Possible solution to WTZ/Bookmarks: Make bookmarks and warping imprecise. Warp-to-anything should be 15-20km off the mark in a random direction. Also, make ships targetable (and able to target) while decelerating from warp.

Oh wait I'm too "young" to have seen much of that, snif. Well, at least I got a taste of what it could be like before WH's became so ****ing overcrowded and pos'd up.

I remember when cruisers were top of the line. I remember when buying a cruiser BPC and building it was a task for your whole corporation. I remember being the guy in the corp who had Gallente Cruiser skill and Drone Interfacing IV (so I could field 9 drones) so I got to fly it, but then I got blown up in the corp's Exequror which 6 or 7 people had spent a week putting together. I believe it was in 5ZXX-K system. Was very surprised to get jumped by blinky red pirates, since nobody but us were usually in that area of space.
