All arguments aside I'm still having a riot playing this game.
Will the reign of the mega corps continue forever, will they continue to mass huge quantities of resources to build ever stronger ships. Will the smaller corps form alliances and band together to take on these giants of industry or will they let things continue as they are?.
Pirates continue to cause mayhem in darker regions of the galaxy and grow stronger with each passing day, will they one day be strong enough to challenge even the mighty Imperial fleets of the Empires?.
Will the secret of the serpents coil ever be discovered, Will one of those mega corps finance a expadition and make the biggest discovery of EVE to date?
Will that little runt who attacked me last week come back for another try?
Will my new corp take off?
Who knows, but it's going to be fun finding out.

You know, I think that most people feel this way. But they're too busy playing the game to come here and say it. That's why we have a lot of whiners posting. Have fun in EVE Tos' Lavoch, I know I will :)

Im still loving the game as well; but we need player structures etc to be introduced to give people a more medium-term goal.

In all my years of playing online games, I've come to conclude that the (standard) people who have fun playing, aren't the one that do the posting on Forums.
Most posters are: * the whiners * the flamers * the 'addicts'

When i sit whit my corp mates and mine i say, i hate this, i hate this.. then i get that beutifull sunflare in my eye. And i can feel a tear roling down my eye and im back into the game. And for the corp thing, i whould love to see a small corp federation (a realy big one) that can actually make an offical move in the game against the bigger ones. It would be great. ---

I still think EVE has it's charm and I'll keep playing it for a long time. Wrangler has a point - to few take a moment to praise this game and the efforts being made to make it even better.
Unfortunately a lot of people on this board seem to know best, have to share the slightest thing gone wrong and absolutetly must join in with the people screaming bugs/griefers. They are the ones noticed I'm sorry to say...
Keep playing EVE and stop complaining so much. Take time to notice what's good as well.

I agree, I'm still very addicted. Helping build a Corp from the very start has helped a lot. We're starting to see more results of our efforts everyday. I just can't wait til we get enough equity to start our true function. ;-) ------------------------------------- Interm-CEO for EVE Marshals http://www.EVEMarshals.com |

People dont take their time to praise this game because when they are having a great time in the game they wont just stop and come here to talk about it right?
On the other hand when something they really hate happens they stop playing cause they had it for the evening and to blow off steam they come here and express their unhappyness about what just hapened.
Its normal for people to only complain. When all is well there is no reason to make any points, any arguments ect.
This should be a hint...
There are about 6000 people playing EVE, of those 6000 only about 80 come here to complain. Thats little over 1% of the total community.
Wich means 99% of all the people are having a great time or do not find troubled times bad enough to complain about it.
the way i see it about 5k people praise this game every day by not comming here to complain about it. So even with the current state of EVE having internal problem, things not being in the game, people expiriencing drawbacks from bugs ect...people still very much love EVE and i think that says alot and proves alot about this game being TRUELY a renewing, refreshing game amongst other mmorpg's.
Originally by: cashman It's time for Eris to get a clue. CCP should make a statement about this.
It's the exact same things as what Zombie did, you may not attack in "safe-areas" (empire/within sentry range) without loosing your ship.

Agree. Until we get some factory and research slots will whine a bit, but I still love the game - no chance of me quitting. - Carp Riddell - CEO, Innsmouth Shipping - Proud Member of Curse Alliance

Well said.
Now, if the people who had legitimate things to complain about would do so in a non-inflamitory, civil, polite, and constructive way, instead of the classic "fix this now or I'll leave" threat, everyone would be even happier than they already are, and the Devs wouldn't get so disheartened if they read the forums :)
(would you feel inclined to do anything if you read the whining posts on here? I certainly wouldn't!)

Couldn't agree more. There are some issues - but when arn't they :)
I love playing this game- went on my first mining party yesterday and it is so much more fun than mining on your own...
The point about whiners being the biggest posters are true - however the first point of call for people going to join the game is here...and that may start to prove to be a problem....so we should do our best to get ppl that do like it to make themselves heard.
