They are a group of creatures that dress in bee outfits and go to lame lan parties.
They are asexual, and due to this they are going extinct when their limited variation collides with changing environmental conditions or with better-surviving sexual reproducers. With their unusual way of reproducing, they continue to fascinate scientists because they are natural experiments in interactions between fixed genotypes and varying environment.
Goons despite their mostly male outward appearance are nearly always female, have MANmaries, can make more babies than their sexual neighbors, but they are all clonesùnearly exact copies of their mothers.
If an asexual mother were vulnerable to say, pneumonia, so would all her daughters be, and an entire generation could be wiped out by a sneeze. Hence why goons are afraid of the outdoors and social interactions. Becoming mainly basement dwelling creatures.

WHO: Goonswarm is probably one of the most competent alliances in 0.0 EVE. Only the NC, and arguably PL and AAA, are more powerful than they are.
WHAT: Control the wealthiest region, run the most effective intel network and have the most loyal memberbase in the game.
WHY: From what I understand you can't "get" Goons (as you are a pubbie),
