I did it today and drone mum attacked me when i just warp in i didnt even target her and i was over 60km from her. It's not as hard as it looks when u warp in, I did it in passive drake, killed almost all rats. Than 2 guys warp in, killed the boss(''stolen the loot''),gave me the mission item/body(contract) for free. So basically I got what I wanted. Now CCP should really sort this problem out. Everyone gets chance to do this mission only once. So you do 6 rooms-pretty easy, than you do the last room and than someone just steals ur rat-5,5mil bounty and the loot worth 1-1,5bil or might be more. Not only we have salvage ninjas but now its even pointless to do any plex witch has some expensive loot cos you will do the job and someone will just come in and steal your loot lol. Im not bothered by that(nothing you can do about it) but this is just pure exploit to me. Probing meant to be for exploration and pvp right. Now probing is a tool for thiefs. If I run a mission NOONE should be able to find me unless hes in fleet with me. Would a little change hurt you CCP? Im sure most mission runners agree with me on this one.And pirats wanna steal ect go ahead plenty of goodies in low/null sec. Definately running plex solo or even in cpl is useless unless u can defend UR loot. Happy stealing

I don't mind that normal missions can be scanned down, but once you start screwing with people's 1-offs it's just no fun.

You need mission item-the son of the Concord agent who give you mission which I got. And as I said above unless you got bunch of ppl rdy for pirats butt kicking dont bother with this mission cos you will only give them oportunity to steal your loot. Infact all they do in mandoo is sit there and wait for you, scan and steal-sad really, some folks have no honour simple as that.

You could take it further and make the mission's location be a bit more random. The biggest problem is getting the people at CCP to fix this. Considering why this mission is in the game in the first place, making sure the mission isn't a haven for griefers and/or exploiters is a Good thing.

Kva Plexcha	Posted - 2009.08.28 18:09:00 - [42] A few things ... First the plex, although similar to the 5/10 Rogue Drone Outgrowth Hive, is not the same. As noted you will get aggro by the Drone Mother upon entering the last room, even though you are 60+ km away. Second, I have attempted it twice so far and havent received any player interruptions yet. I did kill the Lazon BS and he dropped the items needed to finish but I was unable to collect them before DT. Does the mission reset for me? Third, as far as other players taking the loot, isnt the whole point of running this particualr mission to raise your standings above 5.0? You can get loot from any plex, and there is another Angel plex that drops the same Gist C-type loot that this one does, find it and run it. I'm sure you can work something out with the players interfering to get the mission items and leave them with the loot, or learn the Plasma Skill required to use the surging gate and do as they do. Not to mention the simple fact that if they kill some of the NPC's in the final room it makes it easier for you to kill the rest (if you want to) and hopefully they leave the mission items. TL;DR Man up, its EVE.

You will know wat i mean if it happens to you,hopefully not. You can run this plex every day(6 days u got to finish it) untill you complete the mission.
Arec Bardwin	Posted - 2009.08.28 19:59:00 - [44] I did this plex last night in an active tanked Nighthawk with ab, and there is definitely a lot of dps in the last room The Thor torpedoes are easily tanked with low signature and ab speed, but the drone mother does heavy dps on em/therm I believe (lasers?) Shooting the drone mother spawns 8-10 frigate class drones, some of which might scramble. I didn't manage to kill her though as the nighthawk has too little dps even with T2 kinetic fury ammo. All in all an interesting mission, and the chance for some nice loot to drop (I got crap though).

That sucks so much you won't believe it. And the GMs reset your mission so often until you get the item. Which means, these bastards get 10x B isk worst case, from your missions and you can't do anything. If you try to use the bypass gate, they will come in two hacs, way faster than your cs or bs and simply outrun you.

We reseted the mission 2 times so far and got cheated twice, it took overhand there are a lot players cheating and took advantage. If we continue to let reset the mission they create money out of nothing.

This is based on the Rogue Drone Outgrowth Hive 5/10 DED plex which is found in lowsec in every NPC region. Learning this skill would also help in those plexes, should you ever venture into Lowsec. I gather that most running this mission are the regular Lvl 4 mission runners?. My background is running Low Sec plexes, not missions, and I had to learn techniques to not get found, or at least minimize pirate interruptions. You might find it useful to use some of these techniques here to prevent theft. In lowsec I use it to prevent death, namely mine. And yes, I understand that this is essentially a "static mission" in the sense that is only offered in Mandoo and people camp it. But maybe try at a different time other than when 40000 + people are on or in the middle of the weekend, you may get different results. Just some suggestions. I intend to run this mission after I get the plasma skill. Might as well do some planning to increase the chance I will complete it successfully. When I did attempt it I wasnt interrupted, but was unable to complete it and a GM reset it for me ... not because of theft in this instance. My understanding was it was supposed to reset after DT and it didnt, when I warped to the gate there was no gate.

All these people getting robbed and having a GM reset the mission; does the mission respawn in the same place, or do you have to go back to the agent and have the mission location given to you again? The special gate which requires that super rare skill to activate, can one person with this rare skill activate the gate and bring their gang friends with them through the gate, or does each person need to have the skill? Also, what does the DRONE MOTHER drop? Something rare?

A Drake on full tank cant kill the boss or even survive the incoming dps long enough to kill the cruiser sized drones. The higher your signature dadius is the more the Dreadnought lasers and EM citadel torpedos hurts you. A Vulture Pilot gut 500 from one Torpedo, my Tengu with lees em resistance 25.6 when at full speed, but the guns hurts. Speedtank with 2 faction fitted active tank Cerberus is enough to kill the boss and move out before you capacitor depleetes.

I went and did this in a well tanked NH, as i got close to the end of the soul destroying long gate trek mission with my weak dps 2 cerberus warped in and afterburned to the objective, killed it and stole it and tried to sell tarin tacs to me in local, they camp mandoo 24 hours a day 7 days a week doing this for great rewards. It was also that joker fellow already mentioned here. Dont waste your time on this mission and give them the satisfaction. Here comes the worst part, when you have to tell jeremy tacs you cant complete the mission your sec status drops from 5.0+ to 4.0, you lose a full standing point. Just do that drone mission and forget about jeremy tacs it all ends in tears. I filed a petition to get tarin tacs but the gm said "stealing a mission objective to stop the missioner completing the game is a valid game mechanic"
Kva Plexcha	Posted - 2009.09.15 18:13:00 - [59] Hmm, I was able to run this mission for 2 of my chars and was able to complete it twice without player interruption. The first time I killed the Drone Mother, the second just got the objective and turned the mission in. I beleive one character now has a standing of 5.49 while the other has a standing of 5.46 Both times I ran it there were only 2-6 other people in the system, and I did it mid week. Again, avoid weekends or times when there are 40000 k+ people on. Personally, for almost all the plexes I run in low/null, I usually do them at times when there are 25000 k- people on and rarely am unable to complete them. Also I never bothered to train for the skill for the short-cut gate. I used a passive shield Ishtar and a Hyperion. In the last room there is a trick to make the Drone Mother shut off her armor repper, this saved me alot of time. Was able to kill her with about 600 dps.
