In the addressbook there is a buddy list. You can also create files for specific people you save to the list. The problem is if you drag the player to a file it save them in the file and the buddy list. When I go to delete them from the list it also deletes them from the file I created. Is there a way to move them to the newly created file and get rid of them out of the main list to keep it from getting cluttered?

None that I've found. The best I can recommend is that you create a folder for misc contacts ad move everyone that you would normally keep in the "main list" there then minimize the "main list" until you add someone new.

Yeah, I was doing that but I was wondering if there was a better way. It seems pointless to have doubles or triples of people saved. I had to delete my corp members out of my addressbook but now when they want to private chat with me it tells me "they are not part of my personal addressbook" even though they are clearly in my corp. I wouldn't mind CCP fixing the little things like the addressbook. The new stuff was nice but it's the little things that really make the difference.

Having the entries double in the list does not really make sense, but as it stands, what Kassa Daito said is the only way. Just make another folder and keep the "all" list closed.

I wonder if the COSMOS update will do anything about the address book?
