I was hoping to snag a little advice, I have developed a liking for mission running, mainly combat and am currently running a Gallente Exequror and have been trying to find some missions that I can do and am having some issues. I found some Gallente Federation Navy missions but most of them send me through low-sec and that just isn't something I can afford to do right now. I was wondering if anyone had advice on where I can find some suitable level 1 combat missions to make some money while waiting for my skills.

Pick an agent in a system that's in a constellation that has no lowsec, then you will most likely end up only running highsec missions. To see which agents you can access, press F10 for the map, go to the star color panel, and select "agents I can use" from the (iirc) statistics subheading - just hover over a green dot/blob to see a list of all agents there... keep switching from color by agents to color by security rating if you can't recall which systems are highsec vs lowsec.

Okeh, some advice - worth exactly what you paid for it :)
1) Get a different cruiser - Exequeror is NOT intended for missionrunning - it's a support/logistics ship, and as such really isn't suited for l2 missions - which are what cruisers are intended for. Look up either a Vexor or a Thorax - though the Vexor is better suited.
2) Use eve-agents.com to look up agents - just ignore any agents located in the "Veldspar Heavens". You'll find quite a few.
3) Use eve-survival.org (accessible in the IGB) to look up missions before you run them - it can help a LOT to know what's coming.
Hope that helps you

I picked up a Vexor and put some 150mm gauss rail guns on it but I am doing crap for damage. Any chance someone could link me a good battleclinic build for mission running with the vexor?

Unfortunately I only have level 1 drones so I can only have one out at a time.

Having a Gallente character isn't going to prevent you from doing anything. The Gallente have plenty of decent (though ugly) ships. There are tons of combat missions available in the game... Some for Gallente faction, some for other factions. You can run missions for any faction you want, your race doesn't matter.
Gallente like their drones, and drones are quite handy for missions. If you intend to fly Gallente ships in missions you'll want to train up your drone skills.
However, there's no reason you have to fly Gallente ships. You can always train into Amarr/Minmatar/Caldari ships if you prefer.

Drones are really useful, and a lot of the Gallente's combat philosophy is based around them. Training up the Drones skill (and supporting skills like Scout Drone Operation and Drone Interfacing) would be an excellent investment of your training time - you should be able to train Drones to level 4, for example, in not much more than a day.
In the meanwhile - if you have essentially no skills in drones you raelly shouldn't have picked the cruiser that specialises in drones over the one that doesn't. A Thorax is much better with turrets than the Vexor is - and while drones are a more suitable weapons system for missions than turrets (which is why the other poster said the Vexor was better), a Thorax will perform better for you right now.
Ideally though, you'll train those drone skills and in a couple of days will be able to field a competant flight of drones from that Vexor.

Yes, no wonder you're doing almost no damage - those railguns are frigate-sized, and since railguns are the long-range low-damage type of turret - and the Vexor doesn't get any bonuses to small turrets - you would indeed be doing absolutely pitiful damage.
A typical Vexor fitting might be something like this] with low skills, but again - you won't be able to fly the Vexor at all well until you get decent drone skills. Instead, a Thorax fitting roughly like this (though switch the energized membranes for damage-specific hardeners) would serve you much better.

Well, , I guess I will have to start up my cruiser level 3 training and start trying to make money for a thorax. Originally my goal was to grab a thorax but I wasn't getting anything done in my Catalyst so I went for the Vexor to tide me over but it ultimately proved worthless. Thanks a ton for the input, that battle clinic for the Thorax is what I am going to shoot for now.

for the future, if you are going to stay whit gallante, TRAIN your drone skils, it is your best weapon, they are for most races but more important for gallante. If you dont, your next step (bc or bs) whill be just as diffecult.
