-My main has ishtar and t2 sentries trained -alt has all amarr frigate class ships trained + salvage V. No drone skills.Basic missile skills.
Earlier I used navy vexor with blaster set-up with heavies to kill fast & loot while alt salvaged in retribution.
Since ishtar with sentries can kill bs rats quite fast and move on, I'm now in need of suggestion for my alts "new ship" which could tank "leftover" fr/cr's, loot&salvage and little extra dps wouldn't hurt.
I'd prefer agile sub BS-sized ship to the task. Perhaps some BC but not sure which one would suit the task.
Feel free to suggest.
Thank you

Fit slavagers and tractors to the ishtar and use the alt to ferry the loot from you to a POS/SS/station

catalyst
8x tractors or salvagers to taste
10mn abII cap recharger II
cargo expander II x3
3x small salvage rigs
over 800m3 of space just under 500ms with ab on, and just over 200 ms with the salvage rigs depends on your skills. ------- "Because the Dominix is the Chuck Norris of Eve!" |

The reason for not using ishtars utility slots is range-related... I usually just jump on the belt deploy sentries, kill necessary ships, move on. Those wrecks usually end up between 30-50km from ishtar => thus I have been wondering training alt for salvaging&looting part for the added income.
I did intend my alt to became mining alt in the beginning, but it turned out that my income with two accounts made it more profitable to turn the other account in to a "officer/faction" scout... and thus this weird situation.
Checked battleclinics for few ship fits, just need to consider which I can modify for my needs.
Training time is no issue since I have support skills up to date, just few days work and I can use most BC's and since dps isn't main issue I can train it "later".
Thank you for the replies and ideas given.

if ure ratting in 0.0, it's more profitable to just keep the bounties and move on. as long as you have rats available... i tested this.

I use a destroyer. Personally use the corm but I'm sure the thrasher or gallente destroyer is better. If you salvage while killing there is usually only one wreck left by the time your main moves on, the destroyer can tank for a few moments while you finish up. It works and its cheap as chips to lose. much more agile than a BC which helps when local blows up.
