With the number of irate citizens currently posting in GD, does it seem that Dev responses have completely disappeared?
Is it that CCP simply does not want to interfere in the current sandbox full of cat poop?
Or have they already embarrassed themselves enough, and simply don't know how to respond?
Which is it CCP? Don't care, or simply don't know what to do?
My personal opinion is that a game that becomes too far out of balance, will fail, and clearly there is an issue with balance.
Balance as in cashflow to a small group that is being used to destroy the game for the silent majority in highsec.
Balance as in no way to effectively defend against a gank, no matter how you fit a mining ship.
Balance as in new ships built specificly for ganking, yet no counter ship for it in mining.
Personally, I hate mining, it's boring as hell...but that doesn't mean it doesn't appeal to quite a few casual players. And I'm all for players being able to play the way they want.
I like the ganking mechanic, but it should not be cost effective to gank random mining ships in highsec. Ganking some fool who is carrying billions in a tech one hauler...well, that is a definite mistake, and I would expect to die doing it. Mining, is a casual pursuit, lots of people play casually, to be punished for that is probably not going to work out well for the game.
So CCP, are you going to start talking about the current issues in game? Or ignore it and hope for the best?

Ummm, you do know the Devs are working on the UI and commited themselves to weekly patches right? You do realize the Devs have lives outside of Eve yes?
Maybe they went to a school event their child is in. Maybe they took their wife out to a nice place to eat. Or maybe they just decided it was time to watch their old lady do jumping jacks naked. ( note: ladies dont want to see their old men doing jumping jacks naked. if you can bring up a mental image of a naked man doing jumping jacks I'm sure you will understand why )
The point:
Just because you pay a monthly sub doesnt make the Dev team your personal slaves. Realize this world doesnt revolve around you no matter how special your mommy thinks you are. The "Me" generation needs their asses spanked. Hard.
When it comes to PvP, I am like a chiwawa hanging from a grizzley bears pair of wrinklies for dear life. |

Suicide ganking is fine, even on mining ships.
What's wrong is that even the most defenseless herbivores have effective ways to fend off predators, while mining ships are like a strung down fat cow waiting to be slaughtered.
Had mining ships ways to defend and eventually counter-attack then only those really deserving to die would be destroyed.
No, having to pay 3-4 accounts to surround them with 20M SP alts is not a way.
Nor having to pay stratospheric costs to third parties, who cannot do anything anyway unless they are extremely locking fast and the gankers are -10 sec
A viable alternative would be to implement a player driven game (ooohhh, in my EvE!) where miners forfeit concord protection and declare an ally corp to be able and police for them. All get to shoot and all have fun.

How about a "none of the above"? Really, you should be able to get beyond the "When did you stop beating your wife?" type of question.
My guess, FWIW, is that CCP has given you their answer simply by their silence on this issue. They aren't going to make any changes and aren't going to tell us that. Instead, they will ignore the concern as well as the threads (except for locking threads that are too anti-Goonswarm).
Who knows why? There are all kinds of potential reasons and since CCP is silent on the issue, we don't know. Speculation is pointless. |

Summer in Iceland can be fantastic, I am told. Everybody I knew in Germany would vacation in Iceland in the summer.
The devs have been busy, and frankly they should get a break. Take it from an American who never gets a break: time off, especially during the time of year you don't get stuck in ice flows or hunted by defrosted vikings who still think it's 1050AD (I don't know much about Iceland), is a good thing and I would not sacrifice it for a bunch of angry no-life neckbeards. |

Which is what I am going to do soon myself cause this has gotten even too pathetic even for me which is saying a lot.

Which is why the forums should only allow the character with the highest skill points on the account be allowed to post on the forums. Combine that with the ability to block entire corporations and alliances and presto, you have a working forum again.

Yup. My former Alliance Leader (5 year player.....quit 6 accounts a few weeks ago) was always mentioning that.
One thing is for sure, they keep their word.
