Ispent hours fittion out a tristan with a microwarp drive and took it on a mission. Imagine my surprise when I attempted to activate the mwd and was told that I couldnt as there were 'local conditions' that interfered with its operation. what is the point of having a peice of equipment fitted on my ship if I am not allowed to use it. Almost lost my tristan as I was expecting speed to keep me from being hit. Mwds should be allowed to work in missions.

MWDs do not work in deadspace. Most missions are deadspace.
Note that you can't warp to bookmarks in deadspace, either. You can't warp to fixed objects outside 150km while still in deadspace.
In fact, the only time you can use warp in deadspace is to leave it.
It's called deadspace for a reason. Warp drives (micro or standard) do not work. It's part of the game. It gives purpose to afterburners which are, btw, easier to fit, easier to use, and don't paint a huge target on your forehead. ------------------------------------------------ Suicide drones?

Should we all give him 1 mill isk for his loss and pitty him? Or have you forgotten this is eve and not wow. Lack of information kills. Eve is a harsh unforgiving place.

Dead space missions are a "physical narrative", that is to say, each little mission has it's own little story. Where things are, why they are there etc all have their reason, albeit loose reasons. A MWD would unbalance the intended experience, to move through the story and achieve the objective. If you could just zip through all the rats and blow up the ship with the special "thing" ... Then you'd miss the "fun" ...
That's why.

MWDs have been turned on for complexes now, and I'm 99% sure a dev said they would eventually be enabled for missions. Sorry but I can't find the post right now.
