for angel i'm running 2*amar navy ean (or better .. complex) + active explo t2, they deal really more than just exp dmg.
Also if you got money ... core A-type large armor repair ...

Originally by: Curzon Dax So I bought a Kronos, and am trying to build the ultimate mission running ship. My mission running doesn't seem to be going faster than it did with my Dominix, probably in part because I'm relearning how to play Eve and fly ships after having been gone for a long time.
What I've got fitted on it is posted here; I'm not looking for commentary about a waste of ISK or anything else. What I *would* like is any suggestions on changing modules, why, and how it would help me get through missions more effectively.
Riggings: 1x Large Hybrid Collision Accelerator II 1x Large Hybrid Locus Coordinator
High Slots: 4x 425mm Railgun II (loaded with Federation Antimatter) 2x Tractor Beam I 1x Salvager I
Mid Slots: 3x Chelm's Modified Cap Recharger 1x Chelm's Modified Tracking Computer (loaded with tracking speed script)
Low slots: 2x Cormack's Modified Magnetic Field Stabilizers 1x Centus X-Type Large Armor Repairer 4x Core X-Type Armor Hardeners (2 of each for whatever the mission damage is)
Drones: 5x Hobgoblin IIs 5x Hammerhead IIs 5x Vespa IIs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, with that said....I haven't looked at faction or officer railguns. I have Cormack Modified Neutron Blasters, which are obviously short range. Someone mentioned that MWDs now work in missions and that I should give it a try, but I haven't gotten that far yet. I don't know if the magnetic field stabilizers are worthy given the rigging and stacking penalties? I fly with three of them on my Vindicator and use different riggings. Would a low slot be better spent elsewhere?
I've noticed that I kill cruisers in about two volleys from my 4 guns, and battleships actually melt nicely. I'm used to flying a drone Dominix where I just use the high slots for loot/salvage/drone augmentor/civilian guns to aggro. I'm used to having a sensor booster and an afterburner as well, both of which I've given up for this fitting.
I'm not sure I made the right choice though.
Anyone with comments and suggestions for the fittings? I'd appreciate them. If you think a particular module is really important, don't be afraid to suggest a faction or an officer module there; I've got a pretty good library (nothing like Entity) of stuff.
If you're gonna spend that much on a mission running ship.... why the heck would you run missions?

See, now if you had taken the time to read the thread, I've already answered that question. Three posts before your own, bottom of page 1. RTFP does wonders. -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

Originally by: Curzon Dax I'm not sure why everyone is recommending sentry drones? I'd welcome input. Also, I'll take a second look at some of the suggestions posted here definitely.
Normal drones, especially heavies, lose a lot of time going from target to target, and so never live up to their on paper dps. Sentries otoh do instant damage with 0 travel time. Also, if you fit sentry dmg rigs, Sentries > Heavies in terms of on-paper dps, except for wardens.

Sentries are wonderful for missioning. I'd go as far as stating that any wannabe domi PVE pilot should train T2 sentries before T2 heavies. Not sure you want them on a turretship though as those will move a bit more due to tracking etc but I could see a Kronos hold 4 sentries and 5 lights.

the ideal fit is something like
3 mag stabs 3 hardeners 1 lar
tracking comps cap rechargers after burner
4 blasters tractors
1 tech 2 rof rig 1 other rig
1500+ dps with the 5% implants
just a shame missions aren't designed for such beautiful ships like the blaster kronos
so the realistic fit is like the one I said above but with 425mm railguns. which does like 500-600 dps less

I did two missions, and on the second one due to webbing angel frigates, I warped out at 50% structure (despite having fit 2x Explosive hardeners).
which mission was that? the only mission i ever went into structure was the second-last gallente epic arc mission. did you fit one eanm and two exp hardeners, or only two mag stabs, plus a 3rd hardener for kinetic?
You really should go for the webbing/scrambling frigs first. if they are >50km away, i hit them with the rails good enough to get rid of them. thats also a nice way of letting the rats know they should aggro you. when they are orbiting you, web them, and let the drones kill them, while killing something else engaging you (but you know that already i guess ).
