ItÆs been a long time since Father Lazarous has written what has happened to him and a great many adventures have happened, mainly around the P3 area.
Originally the mission was to hunt the whale (NPC battleship) which finally turned out successful. During this period an event happened that changed Father LazarousÆs mission. He became a pirate hunter and it all happened because of Sybex (detailed in another story)à
àthe taste of removing Sybex from his ship felt good and although it was fun making ISK from missions, recycling the loot to make more ammo, it never captured the initial experience of the experience with Sybex.
Some weeks ago, Father Lazarous setup base near Obe to seek out and destroy all that was considered evil. The mission was to pirate the pirates. This was going to be a hell on earth mission as the only person to support Father Lazarous was himself. The process was simple and the setup stages took a while. Gather enough ISK to pay for two battleship insurances and make ammo out of the loot, when this was in place go to war.
The first venture into P3EN-E took out Lord LucianÆs Rupture as well as his capsule and others swiftly followed. This was not without pain however as I too lost many ships and had to recover my losses.

Edited by: Father Lazarous on 16/10/2004 23:42:22 All in all, the current total at the moment stands at four Capsules and twenty two ships that I have removed. There have been some great battles and great defeats for me. Some members of the P3EN-E area considered me ôstupidö for keep coming back, but it was a learning experience. Every time I was destroyed I learnt a little more. It was not stupid but it was a hell of a ride and also more importantly an education that I would only get from failure. For example, I donÆt fear TaranisÆs anymore when originally they used to be a pain in the exhaust pipe in 0.0.
In the war zone, one thing that I enjoyed was hit and run attacks against camped gates. Warp in from different points take out a ship and warp away. This did at one time end in failure, but more often then not was a success and I spent many evenings doing this.
There was another time that I was in very deep space, a hell of a lot of jumps away from Obe and I met Black Lotus at a gate. The area was clear when I was making bookmarks, but I failed to check how many people were docked in the station and the bad men with big ships came out quicker then bees coming out from a hive. I found myself at the back end of nowhere, little ammo and an area full of hostiles. Meeting a pilot like Black Lotus at the time, I ran as fast as my ship could carry me. Eventually several days later, Black Lotus layed the final blow to my Raven at P3. It was like the ôFinal Destination of Father Lazarousö. Eventually death from Black Lotus would prevail!

Accidents also did happen in the early days being solo. A good example is I was near a station and Zarathanon was nearby. I wanted to do two things, firstly shoot him and secondly see how long I could tank Concord for with my setup. I did shoot him but had little chance of destruction as he was in a Taranis and I did tank Concord for at least a minute. I had then planned to warp away but before I knew it, my ship lost control and exploded. The Guns Of Concord 1 û Father Lazarous 0. When Tech X equipment is available I will blow those offending defence guns away, however at this time they will probably be upgraded to Caldari Sentry Gun IXXÆs and be able to hit you in the next region.
Another Raven bit the dust for me as I warped through a gate and there was a lone pilot, his name was Wolver1n. It must have taken him all of several seconds to lock me and he then ripped my ship apart, but fortunately my pineapple (TM: Whispere) survived. There was no smack talk which was pleasant and again my pineapple escaped, just.
As equal as failure (if using another insurance policy can count as failure) there have been many successes. Now that I was an experienced Whale killer, even thou some the Whales which gave me a 1 million ISK bounty gave far less security status bonuses then the lesser ones, I still used to enjoy hunting them. I was in an asteroid belt slaughtering these helpless drones and three ships attacked me piloted by the living! One escaped but deela lost a Crow and GÆeron lost a Kestral. What was rather alarming as the NPCÆs who I trying to slaughter also did not take into account my situation and continued firing upon me.

Edited by: Father Lazarous on 17/10/2004 01:36:34 It was about this time that Celestial Apocalypse moved into the area and I had finally met people with a similar interest to me and also had some assistance with the great fight against the pirates.
For several days we passed each other in the P3 area and I was finally offered a chance to join them and take the good fight forward to scales that I had never dreamed of. I am now a member of Celestial Apocalypse. I believe that this was not because I was a great PVPÆer, no there are far more better people then me at it. I believe it was because I personally wanted to make a difference and it didnÆt matter how many I was fighting, it was the taking part that counted and for me taking out as many as I could possibly remove from the gene pool.
I had originally planned to detail a website with my sagas on them, this has gone to pot since I have now joined a corporation and anything that I details that I could post would potentially hamper any operation that maybe happening. I will look at posting tales when something is done and dusted and completed.

àother then that all I can say is if anyone is ever considering taking the great fight to the pirates of Eve, go for it. I initially would have never dreamed of being a PVPÆer this early in my Eve life and had planned to continued PVE. Sybex changed that and has made Eve a far better game for me then I could have ever imagined.
Celestial Apocalypse will now take this to the next level for me. If you even slightly enjoy PVE, the PVP is a far better experience. The rewards although not another 100 Ammo or 10 Light Missles, the satisfaction of fighting the good fight, whatever your personal cause is far greater.
I shall see you all in spaceà

...LOL! No.
Sybex is a pilot for Huff or at least was at the time. He shot me when I was hunting NPC's once, his ship got shot back and exploded and he gave me my first taste of true PVP so to speak. It was at this point I decided that I was going to shoot back and not run and hide all the time. |

Hello Zarthanon. LOL! Yes, that was the very bad day that Black Lotus and Reloaded INC gave me a pasteing and I lost one earlier in the morning to a couple of BS's that were at the gate. Two if my memory serves me correctly in a day.
The beauty of it was, missions and NPC'ing getting quality launchers to sell on the market was so helpful to quickly recover insurance costs. As far as I was concerned (and still am), if I could break even and get out ship to 0.0 as quickly as possible I was having fun!
I never considered it weird, just a challenge and to show that no amount of pirates could scare the good Father (most of the time ). Some people like to mine, I liked to play a game of chance with who or what would be in 0.0. I know if I had not done this I would be ah hell of a lot richer by now, but I'd probably be bored and not in Eve as well.
Thanks to Reloaded INC for your comments as well! --- ...damn, my sig was nerf'd by CCP. |

Respect father, takes courage to go it alone at start.
And with your background celes isnt a bad place to be I guess. One of the last anti-pirate corps around, altho even that is disputed sometimes .
Anyway, not here to dis celes. Good luck in your endeavours, I hope to see more of your experiences. Originally by: Aneu Angellus Iv held back from posting on this thread for quite some time, but i think the time had come for me to come in and post.
