I've been running missions around the universe for a while, and haven't cashed in on any LP yet. I did some quick math on a couple of items and current market value, and noted 1000-2000 ISK profit per LP, which doesn't seem like very much at all.
What target should I shoot for? Anyone have any suggestions for what to purchase from the LP store to make a profit from? -------------------------------------------------- Eve-Online Parodies: Music To Laugh To |

You're unlikely to get any good advice as people will protect themselves against competition.
It's fairly easy though. Look at the cost of the items, look at the sell price (and volume) in Jita. Calculate best ISK/LP.

Heh.
Honestly if we told you, don't you think everybody would rush for that item? Then the market would be flooded, that item's value would go down and demand for other items would go up.
Depends who you run for. Implants are always sure-fire ISK, and specialist implants can give you a reasonable income.
If you can get the tags yourself, exotic faction items are always worth it -- granted again that you could get the tags without paying for them.

The best item is CNR.
(Now go trade you LP and place a lot of them selling in Jita so that the price goes down.) (Please;)

1000 isk/LP should be the minimum you aim for imho.
Depending on the LP store you can get from 2000-4000 isk/LP
Tags can be a pain to manage, but look for 5-run BPCs of faction items. These can be pretty profitable in the right LP shops.

Don't know who you run for, but, ~1500/3000 are the best amarr BPC returns (different corps), and the 3000 is such a PITA to get the tags for the amount of LP you're better off doing something less lucrative from a pure LP standpoint (time effort = isk and all that).
Not sure where you're getting 4k from.
Generally, depending on store and time you can find something from 1k-2k thats worth trading for these days, which is much better than it was before the farmer nerf.
Course you can do better from FW stores or the thukker hisec combat level 4 agent, but, most people don't run those.

Amarr can do better than that with lp currently. If you buy at the most expensive places, sell at the lowest prices then your asking to make less isk/lp.
Normally any decent trader will put buy orders up to buy stock, and they will buy a lot of it. ie none of this panic buying - I've got 50,000 lp and I need to SPEND IT - NOW! For selling, the same. It takes no time to contract up while flying between missions as it is already down time. Frieght a load of stuff to sell at a time so your not shifting tiny amounts every day or so. If you contract up 10+ contracts in a small market your likely to just drive prices down. If you put only a few on at a time you will still only need to update your contracts every other day and sell for a premium price.
The corps you do missiosn for vary in returns. More encouter corps, less isk/lp returns. We have the 'experienced' players who wont touch other agents than encounter agents, because they know they can't make better isk/lp. The result is they dont make better isk/lp. You can give such people instructions on how they can make better isk and they will always know better. While there are such players about there will always be good isk to be made. The majority of my customers are such players. Lvl 5 missions are only the encounter corps, ie no industry etc so have no choice if doing lvl 5 missions.
A trader is flexible to move if they need to. If you find a good isk maker, why move till the market deflates? Even then it is often only a tempory bump.
Lp doesn't decay, so no harm in not spending it and waiting for the market to recover if you think the market will recover. The corps you have lp with wont go broke so is no need to cash up the lp.
