Edited by: Luciffer 13 on 30/08/2009 16:20:35 Was a little bored today from plying and i decided to make an excel sheet that will show me how much IKS i get when i reprocess module. That way i will easily see should i sell item or reprocess it. But then i noticed something interesting. Many of you probably know this but still i will explain it. For the note i dont have any relevant reprocessing skill(scrapmetal processing). For example if i reprocess "Small Armor Repairer I" i get 2 Megacyte but if i reprocess bulk of 2 "Small Armor Repairer I" i get only 3 Megacyte. So there is lose of 1 Megacyte. The worst case is if u reprocess 2, on bulk of 10 u lose 3 Megacyte, but still lose. So best thing to do will be to reprocess one buy one. So that is my question do ppl care about this and reprocess one buy one, or they just reprocess bulk and dont mind the losses they make this way? I know this lose looks small IKS lost but this is first item that i found where this is happening, but heh it was second item i was adding to my sheet so maybe there is more cases of this, where IKS lost is greater..
Edit: Need to learn to format text :(

Anyone who seriously reprocesses has refining efficiency 5, metallurgy 5, scrapmetal processing 1, and greater than 6.67 standings for no waste or taxes.
Not only does it come in handy for buying items that idiots sell for below mineral costs, but it's useful for mineral compression.

It also may depend on the Stations Base Refining Yield. At 50%, scrap 1 should be sufficient, but at a lower base yield percentage a higher scrap level may be needed. |
