Sc0rched Earth was in the middle of a fail cascade when we left, It was only a matter of time before other corps took notice of how El'rac was killing the aliance and dropped it like a bad habit. I'm suprised it took this long for them to start losing space. TNT was kicking there butt all over the place, Goon was harrasing them, MM was doing the covert ops thing, and El'rac was more worried about flipping on TCF and making -A- and Atlas blue than actually running an aliance. They were too worried about having proper fits for ships durring home defence ops than actual numbers. The FC's were turning people away from home defence because the ship they were in wasnt fit for the fleet! So people stopped showing up for fleets. Then corps started to drop. Plus I didnt like the whole "do not post on COAD" rule. Granted the aliance was a space democracy at first, then went to a dictatorship, which I dont mind so much. Just have somebody that can LEAD as the dictator..... Not a puppet. I will miss the TNT post about how bad BYRN is(was?) fromt he minister of blah blah blah. Reminds me of Snots post.... But back tot he topic, BYRN doesnt have the numbers of friends to repel a full scale invasion. Waht is the rest of EvE waiting for? Why havent -A- and Atlas reset them yet?

Many corps bailed from BYRN prematurely, and I actually believe if they had stayed BYRN would have faired much better to the current events. Epecially with the incredible (and surprising) support recieved from Atlas, aaa, & co, aswell as a few other entities that have arrived on the scene. Problem now is whats left in byrn is a scratch patch of damaged corps, who many of their members are so tired of fighting an uphill battle aswell as all the PR warfare, directed towards byrn making recruiment impossible... they dont even log in anymore. There still the hardcores, and the ones wanting to fight till the last system drops. Unfortuantely, going from 120+ to 20man fleets just wont cut it. agaisnt an entire coalition. And basically the way I see it now, is all the remnants of byrn can do is just keep their towers fueled to buy time for blues to take it over from them. But its basically a spectator sport now. My corp finally pulled out of Wicked creak this weekend, to do some much needed rebuilding and 'R&R', quite reluctantly tbh. over 6months in Byrn I can say I've had a great time, and learned alot. and wish the remaining guys goodluck where'ever they end up in the future.

El'rac was always easy to manipulate thats why SE was vulnerable. Also the fact that he referred to himself as the god of the alliance kinda alienated himself against most of the BLACK corps that joined us especially modro who hated him with a passion. I happened to see the fail of SE coming a long time ago and jumped ship after i saw how quickly Agressiondot made the alliance fall apart until TCF came and saved SE. ( mind you they turned on TCF shortly afterwards ironic eh?)SE at that point was done leadership was officially kaput. So this has been long long overdue. At that point, our allies were RA and TCF...and maybe by extent NC and Goons.However, RA was in open conflict with ED/IRC and TCF wouldn't care about Scorched.TCF wasn't even defending their own space when we changed sides and togheter with Atlas atacked TCF towers.They had like 3-4 pos gunners... Considering the above, Scorched could not even hope to get help from their former allies. Some might say now that "no way, we would sent mighty fleets to save u from Atlas & Co."...Yeah, a 12 year old might beleive them. We failed (but tbh, took ya some time goonies to do it) only because conflicts between former FC's and El'rac...and the conflict was not about changing the sides. More and more corps left (most of them to yellow to stand against some cloakers, and they were full of ratters and carebears) and we weren't able to have more then 30 ppl in gangs. Even so, Atlas helped us more then we would hope they will do.AAA was also couple of times to defend us.Not to mention that smaller alliances also helped us, like CoW or Gentelman's Club. There is no doubt that we will lose the space.We were the only thorn left in NC and Goons plans against Atlas. Nobody can expect an allaince to stand against Goons, RZR, MM, Minor Threat, xDx ,PL and RA combined forces. Scorched will be kicked out of Wicked Creek...but not because our allies left us or because we changed sides. Its because David cannot defeat Goliath in EvE online.
