Edited by: Narash on 17/10/2004 12:31:52 Actually i was listening to a lot of things and i noticed by myself the NEW 'PVP' Style.
The Rule says at least 10+ vs. 1 in 3rd Front. The Rule says what i heard in SA 10+ vs 1.
SO what happend to style. Is it fun tho? I never had this taste.
In my old days in the Game i remember the WILL to fight.
Is it what they CALL FLEET Battles? 3 of the victims fighting with a gang of 30 ppl?
Its annyoing. And its not what my father Barash Great Officer of Minmatar Sec Service trained me.

The answer is obvious: They have to make up for a lack of skill and talent with pure numbers. We engaged an unnamed allaince two nights ago that had a fleet roughly three times the size of ours. We left destroying more than twice as many ships. What these groups dont realise is that by fighting in this manner they will never "learn" how to fight, thus they will always be victoms.....and sad ones at that.

I'm a bit surprised to hear yet another "they can't fight even numbers" whine. My standard responce is; Is this your first MMORPG?

Tears in my Eyes means not that i whine about it it means it makes depressed that eve went this style.
I played a lot other MMORPG before. So dont worry.
What i mean is to set like playing games with cheat. WHere is the fun? For example: Do you play Doom 3 in GOD mode? Or are you surprised if there is a noice which could be a bad mob killing you.
Those ppl are not even worth to talk in local. Im a BS reseller so i hear whats up.
Logging off one system further and loggin in again to avoid the map to bug.
This is cheaper then every things else i saw. And no Gameplay at all....

Well I came to EVE from DAoC, Shadowbane and UO, where 'zerging' is seen as a necessary evil. Nobody likes it, but its currently part and parcel of (most) MMOG's.
Until they start having limits on how many players can enter one zone at any given time, its never going to go away. Would you rather have it that half the enemy fleet logs off, just to appease you? If you're in the minority you have to pick and choose your fights.. Simple as that.

And who might you be ?
Did you notice this guy was talking about SA amongst others by chance ? Cause I can tell you one thing: SA will wipe the floor with you on any day, with or without numbers on you.
Now run off and go play at killing some weakass crappy alliance again. Come back when youve angaged a trained pvp fleet and won.
To the original poster: I dont think its sad that they used their numerical advantage on you, I think it's sad you allowed em to.
to mishandle some quote: If you didn't at least bring even numbers to a fight you did something wrong.
Now I dont fully agree with that, but gankiong is as valid a tactic in war as any. If you dont fight with an ulterior motive but just for the fight itself, allright. In that case ganking is pretty lame since there's no challenge. The game has been obviously perferted by carebears.
The more numbers they bring, the more they suck, since they do not learn to play on their own. I blew up a Helios from DDC a while ago, while fighting a Crow and a Vigil in a Vigil myself with some of their BS sitting in the same system. And those guys fight always this way and they are getting worse each day they try to accomplish something.
Some time before I lost a Claw and a Pod in a 3 vs 1, so I had to bring a new ship and kill everyone of those smarties. It's really annoying.
If I'd take them seriously, they'd never get me to fight them, but since they are gimps and I am a dumb Polak I sometimes go for it and sometimes I lose outnumbered 20 to 1 and you know what? They think it was a good fight and they are really happy about the kill.
I'll fix my rating now and screw this moronic behaviour in empire by my own.
Carebears are like lemmings, you kill them, and while you are doing it, they are sending new waves to you. -- Stories: #1 --

@Sally: I totally agree with that! If there is a change in Eve anytime theyre lost. There is not much more i can tell about this!
@Moneta: That sounds like a warning...might be not. I saw your CI and now i know that you might have some GrandMasters behind you. So what? If you tell me i havent any PVP Experience, it might be some month more then you. Thats all i have to tell you.

It was no warning, jusr remininding the lady that psted not to talk all big cause she won a fight against CFS or something on some day in her life. SA are not untrained and weak. I've never been in SA and have been in CA for more then half a year in my playing career, and SA are not weak is what I'm saying.
Other then that, your post and Sally's negativistic apporoach is somewhat off. As I said, if you fight for the thrill of that one fight ganking is lame as it's a cheap thrill with no skill so to say. However, if that fight is part of a war every gank is one small step closer to victory.
And tbh, having teh lesser numbers and being engaged shows your lack of skill rather then theirs, unless you chose to be engaged while outnumbered, in which case it might actually be fun of course and some respect is due for doing it.
And Narash, you really think a two month something old account would have been drafted into Evolution on its own ?

It surprises me how players 1+ year's into the game think that a newbie corp attacking with the same number ships can have a chance.. Sure if you didnt have skills that have received training for THAT long then I might say yea your right.
2% might not make a big difference.. but 2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2%+2% does help.
Dont worry tho.. I know lots of ppl who cant really understand that, my whole corp was in frigates and we had war declared on us by a corp that produces every type of bship in the game cause thir corp can fly them all..

Euh well I stick to that minimum of 3 vs 1 with me being that 1 I like teasing the odds. It's fun kicking ass when you are outnumbered. Only Tobruk ever managed to kick my ass in 1 vs 1. But you don't meet many real good pilots like that. Must say I was kicked by 8 n00bs lately and blown out of my Tempest. Well maybe me alone against 8 was a bit too much. Specialy since that stupid projectyle nerf I hit jack ****. And they say Jack left town *|||| Fleet Commander SuX ltd

Well everyone thinks i am talking about a 3 on 1 or 5 on 2... Thats not where I'm talking about... i just call it 10+1 on one.
SO tell me now how you do it beeing jammed, warpscrambled and webbed to outgun anyone without missles? Im not talking about Basic Fights... and a 3 on 1 is a basic fight.
Its no Problem to own 3 BS of some Players who havent the skills.
Okay for those who dont understand that I am talking about: 10 Player who havent the skills(and WOULD NOT take on you <10 ) for guns use drones... But 50 drones out do more BASE DMG then eg. 2 named reps and repair at lvl 5 SKILL.
i give it up to explain what i mean. I should drink less quafe... Narash |
