When I was in the NC, small corps and alliances in our space were quite plentiful, we never used to chase them out of our space because having people to shoot at was fun and they used to always fester in Venal and come out to play now and then, it helped to stop people getting too lazy/compacent or bored. From time to time small gangs would come in and cause a bit of trouble and leave. We only ever took them seriously when they hit the assets. If you want to see how serious TCF is and how good they are, try and take a system or two and hold it. If you can't or wont bother trying I don't think any small skirmish is caod worthy, everyone loses ships. Everyone has comedy fits. If you can take a system and hold it for a week then I would be impressed.
