I currently have an alt account follow my mission runner salvaging for him. My mission runner flies a Golem, I'm teching my alt to fly falcons and logistic ships. I want to incorperate my alt in missions as more than a salvage alt to speed things up but I do not intend to give him battleships. What would be the most effective way to speed up mission running a Nighthawk in the same mission, or perhaps a second mission at the same time, what is the best 2 person team for mission running or should I move on to level 5s?

I fly a Golem and people say to me get my alt to go in and tank all the damage so I can gank fit my golem.
I do gank fit my golem and have my alt rep in a domi.
That way I am safe with the repping allowing the golem to dish torp pain and also the t2 Ogre or t2 sentry help with nice added DPS.
I can only see more speed if you have two DPS ships but to me is more risk. I like the benefit of a repper.

if you're really in a gank fit golem as you say. does't your alt have hands full of wrecks? i know my alt can't even keep up to me with my nightmare. maybe only another bs that tanks, salvages and uses drones would help, like domi?

If you plan to do lvl V's and you tend toward safety over mission speed, skill your alt up for the passive Nighthawk, It tanks all lvl V room aggro plus can take care of the frigs and cruisers with light Drones and heavy missiles.
You could also swap a couple of launchers for salvagers to work with the Golems tractors.I use a Damage fit kronos with only an escape tank, (Mar + 2 hardeners)
I am finishing Lvl V's in between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours looted and salvaged but I do have a third guy in a warfare link Vulture and an Orca/Dessie for looting.

I salvage in the golem as I go and my alt follows in repping domi and I just release the drones once he has aggro.
I find for me as great combo as I have a child and have to occasionally leave the mission and the repping give me peace of mind.

I've tried several ways...
on higher dps missions with no triggers
CNR or Nightmare(against sansha/amarr npcs)
Babysitter domi with 2x shield rep 2x cap transfer
in lower dps missions or ones with triggers
Kronos + CNR
either way, alt #3 is in a salvaging phoon

Yeah im still wondering what I want to do with my alt, So far its my second miner/hauler orca support for my main, so far he has very very little combat but once he has his Hulk and Mackinaw for mining and ice mining im training him strait for combat, should I just do some sort of support ship like a jammer or covert ops or just train him up to go Battlecruisers or Battleships as well?

Repeat after me "Logistic ships do not help mission completion times." If you need a logistic on a level 4 you are doing it wrong
2 full out gank ships with 3/4slot tanks is what you want, preferably 1 ship with turrets.
nightmare + golem is a personal favorite 
have the golem blow up anything large under 40km, and the nightmare starts on far frigs/crusiers/bcs far away, frigs will die to 1 shot, and most bcs will die to a volley, cruisers are somewhere in between.
although that is a bit off on a tangent as is talks about 2 bs and the op wants a not bs. although you could probably skill up rather well for a nightmare in the same amount of time as a nighthawk. sub bs nighthawk would be best, although a bs would be better.

There is no wrong if he's having fun :P I don't use logistics boats, but my second char does help my main in a fun Myr by adding sensor booster, range, optimal and/or tracking remotely, T2 light drones, rep drones if needed, Target Painter and what not, so slots on my main gunship can be freed for more gank, which does help the mission time :)
2x BS = more grind-boredom for me, but thats personal taste.
