Well, no. Technically, she wants to take hot baths, look at beautiful nature, relax and have a great time in a location that's quite far away and which will cost a pretty penny to get to, and she wants him to pay for it.

How do you respond when, while watching TV during a commercial break, your wife looks over and says...
"You know, maybe next year we can go to Iceland for the EVE Fanfest event."
She then turns back to watching TV.
She doesn't play EVE. I've never mentioned Fanfest, as I never in a million years thought she'd have ANY interest in going.
After I changed my undershorts, and picked my jaw up off the ground, I found out she'd been to the EVE website to explain to co-workers what it was I spent all my free time on. And during that search, she found a link to Fanfest and apparently CCP has some sort of a setup where GF/Wives of EVE players(We all KNOW females in EVE are like bigfoot.. just a myth) could go on some sort of Glacier tours, spa days/shopping days and so on..Sisters of EVE
How in the HELL do you respond to all this, while on the couch, without jumping up and down shouting "YES! YES! YES!" Like a monkey?
Thank You CCP for thinking of the GF's/Wives. I should see you in 2010....

You better get her Fanfest Skill upt to lvl 5 as fast as you can.
Maybe at lvl 4 there will be some advanced skills you don¦t know of yet :)

My wife has played several MMO's herself, WoW, Guild Wars, etc. One day she was watching me play Eve and declared it was too hard for her.
Then once me and my corp mates got on to Vent and started chatting, she came in and was listening in. She couldn't stop laughing at all the joking around. Next thing I knew, she'd signed up and is now in my corp, heheheheheh!
Another of our corp members had his wife take an interest in Eve too and now she's also online and in our Corp. Another of our corp mates is working on his wife, trying to get her interested (she's real shy).
So not quite a "Myth" but they are RARE! hehehehe.

last night i was sitting in a similar situation wife watching tv me on eve messing around on vent accross the room talking about some dumb **** we could do. i say on vent regarding said dumb **** "yeh i would go to that" and out of nowhere comes the coment from the other end of the room
"YOU ARNT GOING TO ICELAND."

Then tell her, there is this guy on the forum saying:
1. Iceland is an amazing country
2. It has a diverse terrain from moonscape like areas to lush green land with gorgeous areas.
3. The spas are incredible with great, natural, hot springs and mineral waters. They are so much fun to relax and soak for hours on end.

I do think my wife (Arlana in game and one of the head miners for our corp) would rather take offense at being described as 'bigfoot' given that her feet are tiny. Well, so is the rest of her really, she's only five feet tall!
And she'd like to go to FanFest but we're both realistic enough to know we can't afford it right now. She is making a Minmatar costume for our local SF 'con though.

I think I saw a visit Iceland add recently, and damn I want to go, and it has nothing to do with ccp being there.
also bizarre foods with Andrew Zimmerman had an Iceland episode. not sure if it was a recent one, or just a repeat that was on recently. and well it made me want to go eat Iceland. (and **** it but I will try the pee shark stuff)
oh and you are now free to jump up and down and yell "YES YES YES!" like a monkey now!
and oh lol, you mention that she saw the SOE page of the fanfest page in your post.
