Taex	Posted - 2009.09.02 02:01:00 - [1] I'm thinking about making a foray into W-space from highsec and seeing if I can't fight a sleeper or two. I'm only shooting for the 1-2 level ones, so I ought to be able to solo it somehow on my main. The question is, in what? Drake? Broadsword? Vagabond? Munin? Domi? What are codebreakers and analyzers used for? I doubt I'll be able to take them, but it would be nice to know what the hell they're for. And do I need a T2 salvager?

Also, unless a new trick has come out that I don't know about it a dom will get its drones slaughtered by sleep frigs. Of all the stuff you listed, Id go with the drake. Don't forget to take a probe launcher with you :P Codebreakers+analyzers are used for breaking into special containers at mag/radar sites. I dunno what kind of money they make in a class 1-2, but its gotta be better than class 2 anomalies, which are like 5-7 mil each once you're done looting. +++ "Etiquette is for the Dojo. The trouble comes with C3's with the 3x Battleships that eat me. The DPS is meh. You can fit a Domi into a Class 2, but not a 1. It's a bit tight on fitting, and actually, looking at EFT, you could fit another BCU with All V skills instead of the PDS. Sadly, you can't exactly "solo" a wormhole and get the most money out of it. Grab an alt (supposing you have one here) or a corp mate in like a Cov ops frig, have them fit a Salvager, Codebreaker, Analizer, Probe launcher, all that fun stuff. Or, well, you can't solo a wormhole with this Drake.

I solo Class 3's in my Domi and only lose drones when I get too aggressive and leave them out too long. You just have to pay more attention. I don't bother with codebreakers since I am really just looking to fight and salvage sleepers. You don't need a T2 salvager but any little bit helps to speed you up. Mainly because you want to minimize your exposure to PC pirates.

They are faster and have better tracking so they do pretty much the same DPS and have a little more survivability. Damage type doesn't make a difference with Sleepers. Also good to know... Why only mediums? Usually my ogres track medium sized stuff just fine for killing cruiser sized targets. Are the sleepers too fast or something?
