Edited by: Pyrotesea on 18/10/2004 15:44:53 no the server is sorta ok, node went down and a few of us can't get back on
"unable to connect to 157.157.139. on port 26000"
then
"Could not connect to the specified address. Odds are that you have not established an internet connection, the server isn't running, or the server address or port number was wrong."
but yet i am on the forums here ----------------------------------------------- What doesn't kill you makes you injured.

Edit: /me guesses bcr3.tsd.cw.net [195.2.1.15] could be the problem. I just hate when the cleaners unplug the router cause they couldn't find a free wall socket for the vacuum
Edit 2: or so-0-1-0.bbr1.NewYork1.Level3.net [64.159.1.41] maybe...

I lost connection this morning 10 mins before DT... an hour after the servers should have been back up, I still was unable to connect. Could not ping, tracert died along the path, and trying an internet ping utility, it as well could not ping. This clearly indicates an issue along the path or at the server. There was no mention of the issue on the web site as best I can tell, and considering others are having/have had the issue, it's not their proxy/firewall, it's something on CCP's side or along the data path.

Seems like a few of our US customers have problem reaching the server site. Strange thing is, they can be on our website, which is hosted 1 meter to the left of the cluster itself using exactly the same backbone.
The player pictures is unrelated, that's just t20 nerfing the website. Everybody will look like me after he changes it. _____________________________ I say hey sky, s'other say I won say, I pray to J I get the same ol' same ol. |

Edited by: Holi on 18/10/2004 16:33:57 I'm not in the US but in Hungary, but I think this could be interesting:
Linkage to PingPlotter screeny
There has also been a lot of route changes at that bcr3.tsd.cw.net host from bcr1 to brc3 (bcr1 didn't had any packetloss)
Hope this helps to clear it up.
PS: that 100% PL at the 5th hop is normal.
Edit: I can connect to EVE fine but maybe the occasional PL combined with the "oversee-lag" can cause the US peeps to drop from the game
