Was mining in my Megathron with 7 Miner IIs (shame on me) and was reading the forums for a bit.
Came back to see
08:49:04 Notify Miner II deactivates. Your cargo hold is full and cannot hold any more ore, so loading algorithms have deactivated the Miner II before they become overloaded 08:49:04 Notify Miner II deactivates. (that's 7 errors, for 7 lasers).
Whatever happened to
Notify Miner II deactivates. Your cargo hold is full and cannot hold any more ore, so any freshly mined ore has be jettisoned into space where it is irrecoverable
??? (I think I got the last message a bit weird but the idea is the same).
Ran my asteroid scanner and saw that there was no missing ore. Did something change, and if so why?

No, I don't talk in w-space local.
But, it seems the mechanic has changed from losing ore to it not mattering if your lasers run a full cycle over a full cargohold.
Is CCP caving to carebears?

It was changed a long time ago to fix impossible-to-complete mining missions. They just never updated the message until now.

You never lost the ore when you filled your cargohold, you just simply didn't mine it out of the asteroid. If you you had say 10m3 worth of cargo, and you mined 20m3 a cycle, and you were mining a 20m3 roid, you would still find 10m3 in the roid after the message saying it had gone to waste popped up.
The ore is not transfered to the cargohold from the roid till either you stop the cycle, or the cycle ends.
They have simply changed the message, probably to stop any stupid rumors people were wasting ore. Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P
