It appears that, after leaving a system for any reason (or getting disconnected), your scanners forget all of your previous results for that system, regardless of how recently you've locked down the locations or bookmarked them. Is there at this time a way to have these points remembered, or do I have to re-scan the bookmarks to keep them from getting in the way of fresh scans?

scan them down then book mark them. That seems to be the best way to go about it.

No, there isn't any way that I know of to keep previous results on scan; however, you should be able to determine whether a sig is old or new by seeing if you already have a bookmark near where the sig is showing up. If you don't have a bookmark close by, chances are you havent scanned it out yet.

I always put the 6 character signature in as part of the bookmark - doesnt help after downtime, but at least you know you've scanned them and can ignore them if you start scanning again.

I always re-scan the bookmarks. I drop one probe on each BM, range at minimum (DS probes don't work for this with their 2 AU minimum range) and scan. Any probe that has no more results than the number of bookmarks within the radius (generally 1) I ignore the results. It's usually pretty fast. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

The scan designation, on the bookmarks, solves alot of the problems...

I do both. I put the scan designation in the BM in case I leave during the same day and come back. I also BM all of the sigs. Then when I come on the next day I quickly scan down the BMs at min range. Then when they are all clear I then start to scan for new sigs.
